Beilieve it or not, this was on the front page of CNN: LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- There's no escape from holiday shopping. Whether you're a regular joe or jane, or a Hollywood celebrity, you've got to make that list of gift ideas (and probably check it twice, too). But if you're tired of the same old same old, a few Hollywood-inspired suggestions might be just what Santa ordered. For example, if you're on a budget, you could follow the lead of Oscar winner Julia Roberts or heavyweight Hollywood hitter Will Smith. Sarah Jenkins, manager of Illume Candles in Los Angeles, says these stars and others -- such as Courtney Cox Arquette, Sharon Osbourne, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Lopez -- are either popping in or phoning in an order. "J.Lo loves our Angelfood Vanilla," Jenkins says. "It's an amazing scent and it's doing really well. People just buy it up like crazy." Holiday scents such as Silver Fir, Mulled Wine and Fresh Pumpkin can also fill your home with the smells of the season - and without the calories. The article is here if you want to see it. Now, let me ask you this... WHO CARES!? What makes anyone think that anyone else would give a rats hind end that "Julia Roberts is a fan of candles, according to Illume candle shop manager Sarah Jenkins."??? The only thing drivel like this does is to enlarge actors and actresses egos and perpetuate the misguided feeling that they are better than the rest of us because they can memorize a script and regurgitate it back while being filmed. Idiots. I feel better now...
What is sickening, there was a thing in the paper the other week, and it went along the lines of.... "The more fame & money you have, the less you have to spend" the amount of free "please-keep-*buying*-stuff-from-us" gifts celebreties get is stupid.. they have millions already but get stuff for free.. they should be made to give the value of the free stuff away to charity.
Yea, it's unbelievable that it was on the front page of CNN. Not the front page of the entertainment section, you type www.cnn.com and it was there.
I'm not reading it because I don't want to accidently find out what Sandra Bullock is buying me this year...
