Hey people! I am planning on getting a tattoo this summer, so I thought I would ask the bit-tech community what image they think I should get imprinted onto my flesh for the rest of my life. I am not just blindly going into it though, as I have several ideas/prospects that I simply can not decide on. Anyways, here they are.

The Cross of Confusion: I really want to get this tattoo as a symbol of how I am not just following the rest of my family's beliefs(they are all catholic, whereas I am agnostic/atheist)

The Triforce/Hylian Crest: Do I really need an explanation?

The Goron symbol/tattoo: Gorons have always been my favorite race from the Zelda world, and I suppose I always looked up to their strength and laid back attitudes when I was a kid.

The Chain tattoos from Bioshock: I would get the chains on both my wrists and on one wrist have the first line of the quote, and on the other, the second line.

The symbol for Chaos: Just because I think it looks awesome.(probably the weakest reasoning)

Dark Tranquillity's symbol off of "The Mind's I" album: This one is the symbol in the center of the album art that has the red splatter over it. I am considering this one because Dark Tranquillity is my favorite band.

The logo for the band Death: Death is another of my favorite bands, and I have a massive amount of respect for the both the band and its deceased founder Chuck Schuldiner for pretty much creating Death Metal.

I have locations picked out for all of these, so that is not an issue. They would all be easy enough to conceal(excluding the Bioshock chains) for say, a job interview or something. Having any or all of these would most likely not interfere with my intended career choices(as I plan on either doing landscaping/turf management and possibly owning my own small company, or being an auto mechanic). I also plan on getting tattoos for my future children, but since I don't know what I will eventually have(this probly wont happen for 4-5 years), I can't very well get either of these.

If it's a girl: her name will be Sophie, which means Wisdom.

If it's a boy: his name will be Ezio(badass huh?)

Anyways, sorry for super long post, but its mostly pictures, so it shouldn't be too bad.
I would really appreciate any input and opinions(as long as the are constructive).

When it comes to tattoos I think other peoples opinions count for nothing. You are the one that is going to have it forever, only you can decide what you will be happy with.

The thing is though...I plan on getting most, if not all of these. My question is pretty much which one should I get this summer. Sorry for not making that clear in the first place.

That Dark Tranquility Mind's I one is pretty hot, dude.
If you have already decided on what to get, then just pick one at random.
Since you're saying "next", i trust you already have at lease one tattoo, so no point in warning you about aftercare, etc.
Religious ones, well - all I can say is that I have one, but I would not recommend that to people still in school. Simply because in my personal experience, life chnages drastically after school

I'm personally going to get an id Software logo. So don't get that one :D

But i think get the bioshock links, but without the quote - makes it more meaningful to you and less obvious.

I'd avoid them on the wrists - you never know what life's going to throw at you, and you'll kick yourself if in 10 years time someone offers you an awesome job but you don't get it due to that...

I've got a very prominent wrist tattoo. I do work In IT, where it's more acceptable, but even as a minister, when asked about it, I showed them the fact that it covered scarring from a cycling accident that nearly claimed my life. Most people at that point had no issues from then on out. Some said it was unprofessional, and asked me to cover it, but I never lost a job over it.

I'd wait until you're older to get a tattoo or it could be something you'll regret

I had my first tattoo when I was 15 and my last one around 35 years ago, Got about 40 of them and apart one on my ear they can all be covered by my clothes, People tend to judge you by the way look not by the person you are.

I know the unpredictable tendencies of life well enough(even if i am only 19). That was the main reason that was pushing me away from the Bioshock tattoos. Any of the other ones would be very easy to cover up, as previously stated.

And if some of you think I am retarded or just plain stupid for wanting so many video game related tattoos...I don't think you guys realize just how much video games played a part in raising me/my childhood. I don't particularly feel like explaining my life story in the bit-tech messageboards though, so if you actually want to know, PM me and I will tell you.

You're (presumably) paying decent money for someone to permanently etch ink into your skin. Pick something meaningful to you, and it should be something you will be happy to look at for the rest of your life. My advice is not to ask strangers on an internet forum to pick for you. In my not so humble opinion, if you can't come up with an idea of your own, you aren't ready for a tattoo. I'm not saying that just to sound harsh - it's just my opinion.

I have already said that I plan to get most, if not all of these eventually. I am pretty much just asking to determine the order/which one I will get this summer.

I think once 'decided' you should wait a year and see if you still want it.
