The scotish team is jsut another county team like glamorgan is really effectivly the welsh team

The england cricket team (ran by the ecb) is actually the england and wales cricket team, scotish players tend to play for england as well ( eg angus fraiser) but when there is a tornament where scotland play (the world cup in england) he played against england.

The captain in cricket is vastly more important than in football, he organises all of the field placings what line and length the bowler bowls and control's when the team declare. (for americans it is similar to a coaches job in american foot ball, effectivly calling the plays and relying on his bowlers and fielders to perform) This tends to be why a captain's form suffers (except aparantly australians and grahame smith) because when in the field he has to work constantly adn so when he is batting his mind is on other things.
