So I'm adding more units to my kitchen and one of them is (will be) a chrome wire wine rack that will be in an empty cupboard unit.

The wine rack itself is made from bent chrome bar around ~6mm in diameter - let's pretend that it's a bunch of these stacked up (it isn't, but these will work for illustrative purposes).

The rack will support itself under it's own weight, and is precisely the width of the inside of the cupboard unit, and I wish to affix the sides of the rack to the inside of the cupboard unit for extra stability. This is where I'm getting stumped.

Basically I need something like cable clips or saddle clamps or saddle clips or P clips but not fugly - this is going in a kitchen, not a workshop. What need is this in and appropriate size and pleasantly formed from chrome as opposed to what's clearly an industrial fitting.

Look as I might, I'm just not finding what I'm looking for. I know that it's a thing, but I've exhausted my list of search terms and not come across anything.

    Any ideas?

Would something like these work? I know its for glass but it seems like it might work.

Edit: 7-8mm versions to give you a bit of extra tolerance.

Edit 2: Ignore all that ^, just re-read your post.

Could you maybe use thin chromed chain to secure I to the side, fixed in with a nice chrome screw (could even use mirror screws if you liked) and kinda make a feature of it?

    Something like this?
That's the best I could find at such a small size - most of what's out there is for plumbing use, so only comes in sizes of 15mm or 22mm or bigger.

It's a U bracket, but finding nice chrome ones in that size might be a challenge. You might look at a marine hardware store for stainless padeyes which is the closest thing I've seen.

Thanks gents, this community is awesome :thumb:

Lacing eyes are clearly what I need. I'm well armed with fresh search terms now and will need to measure up, figure out how many I need and wade through what seems now to be hundreds of options on marine supply shops.
