Hey. I was play fighting today with someone... and i landed on my phone, so now its borked. the screen anyway, it still turns on, but doesnt make sounds or seem to do a hell of a lot!

Anyway, i wonder how i go about fixing this. Im not insured afaik, im on Orange "My Plan" thing. Should i just goto the shop and ask them ? or will I have to buy a new phone ?

    Thanks!

If you have house contents insurance then it might be covered, mine was when the same thing happened. Got £480 out of that (the phone only cost £100 new but because it wasnt being sold anymore the insurance company matched the features and gave me more :D ).

it wasnt damaged in my actual room though, it was damaged ina flat accross th ehall. i wouldnt wanna become a fraudster person here :(

I went into the shop today as well.. it could cost up to £250 to fix, which is ****. So, ive sent them an email which basically says "if i cant get an early upgrade to the phone, then it would be more cost effective for me to break their contract and start a new one with another provider". They won't want me to goto another provider, and i just won't get my free upgrade after my contract is up for a year, so im hoping they will go for it :p

You'll be fine. Most home and content insurance packages cover you outside your house. Doesn't normally cover laptops or unattended thefts just make sure you check to see if you can claim, and more importantly if your cover will go up. If the premium increases, weigh up which is cheapest and do accordingly :D
