I have this radio but the cassette deck no longer working: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4iI8n4xqZbn/p...-overtones.html

The 5 cd changer is still working. The speakers are in good shape. I send the radio to the shop to try fix the cassette, but the shop owner say cannot fix because no spare part. Only problem is I have 50 odd cassette's which I yet to make a digital copy. Some old songs cannot find online. There are 3 hifi's in the house with 2, 2 and 1 cassette on the hi-fi's. All cassette broken one way or another while converting to mp3.

Now, what to do with the speakers? The speaker uses the red and black wire to connect to the hi-fi. Since the hi-fi is sort of redundant cause my pc can handle the cd, the radio can stream online, so the only reason hooking to the base is to power the speakers.

Now the shop person has not open his shop for some time. Last week I visited say cannot find part. This small shop does not have a fixed opening any time. I'm not sure when he opens shop. I'm left with speakers I can't use. Any suggestions on how to make use of the speakers? Or how to convert speakers to stand alone speakers? Does the speaker need extra power to power it up?

Compared to my Creative Gigaworks T20 SII, these sound way better

You can get a small amp like the Scythe Kama Kro to fuel the speakers.
