Hi people I know this is a UK forum but if anyone has been to Maine (the state north of Boston) I would appreciate any information about tourist attractions, must see, must avoid and the like. The same goes for Quebec and Montreal.
In Maine, there's Acadia National Park which offers good views, even if you don't like hiking (You can drive up one of the peaks). I saw people riding bikes, and there were boat trips. If you like the outdoors, it could be right up your street.
Heh, state north of Boston. Well, I suppose that's technically true. For vacation tips in Maine, it will be important to know what time of year you will be visiting. I'm told that some parts of the state practically shut down during winter. There's probably a bit of hyperbole there, but there is a reason my neighbors have their winter home here in Houston.
My mum lives in maine, when I next speak to her I'll ask her where to go. When we went it was close to -30 and late December early January so a lot of the tourist stuff was shut.
