Have BASIC cable.. want Digital Cable. but don't wana pay double the month price AND have to pay for 5 settop boxes. /me thinks it's time to consider the 4 room satellite offer. (kitchen can use air wave tv)
No arial conected to my widescreen television and Home Theater so I don't even use the analogue tuner. I may get one or freeview in the future. My upstairs system is for dedicated to DVD watching and music listening. For Television viewing I watch it on the widescreen downstairs through NTL Digital cable (almost all the channels subscribed), to be honest I only watch about 2-4 hours of TV a week.
Sky Digital here, full package [Although soon we will be downgrading sky and upgrading the adsl] Cannot get cable 'round these parts
Sky (full package cos we got a free box have to down grade to jsut the stuff we actually whatch when I can be bothered (that and the movie channels are pooh! )) Got it hooked up to living room bedroom office and kitch with some cool stuff from TV link so I've got a remote in each room that changes the chanells and stuff.
You limited your poll to the other side of the ocean. 2x DirectTV (TiVo) 2x Dish Network Basic Cable (with cable modem) That may not mean anything to anyone outside of the sates, but it is satellite.
you mean 'to this side of the sea' (and by 'this' I mean 'that') anywaaay... Four of us sharing house with cable. next year hopefully still have cable, but depends on my having a job which can pay for it...
I have Freeview and the improved picture quality pays dividends when it comes to hard drive space when capturing. I can fit 10 minutes more video into the 2GB avi file limit with my Matrox G400-TV when capturing from digital rather than analogue. 17 minutes on Analoge, 27 on digital
Got normal cable here But in future we get digital tv via antenna, better picture and sound in Dolby Digital 5.1 that's what I like
I've just got standard 5 channels here, and only really watch the news etc. Tbh, I don't see the point in spending money on any subscription packages. I find watching TV such a waste of time, and then having to pay OTT prices is just out of order. Why don't people do more creative things with their lives?
At the moment we have SKY+ and two miniboxes, all free (and free subscription) from SKY. Got to love employee discounts.
freeview, its still crap though, im always to busy thinking of mods that i would do if i could drag myself away from the ADSL
