    Also Metroid Prime Hunters. I've been practising offline with the Imperialist. It's bloody great. I've not started the single player game properly yet. I'll wait for the weekend... Although it seems fantastic. Just like Prime.

    Fantastic name for a weapon, although I suspect it may become a specialists choice as it seems really clarty to use imho.

    I can't get the online mode going, so I'm gonna have to wait until the weekend to give you a match dude.

    Yeah clarty, as in faffy or overly fiddly. I like the fact you have to stand still to turn invisible with it, but then having to snake my stylus holding fingers to the right trigger to zoom in is insanity. Presumably a weapon to use with the other control settings...

    Incidentally: Spire -> F T W.

    I love the fact the non-adventure aspect of the game can be played with bots. All those maps (what is it? 25 of em?), different hunters to use, and all those juicey game modes. Hawt! Light years ahead of any other handheld FPS gameplay in every respect imho.

    Right. I get you know. Although I had no idea at all that it turned you invisible! Is that just if you're standing still? ie. you can still look around and shoot people? I think I've developed a nice comfortable way of holding it now so my little finger reaches around for the zoom quite easily. I've not found it a problem yet.

    I think that out of the three initial hunters that Kanden has the most destructive alt-form. He's a right bugger when he corners you. I like Samus most out of these three though, as her gun looks the best ;)

    I think Sylux looks awesome though and can't wait to try him out.

    I think what is by far my most favourite thing about this game is the presentation. The menus, the iconography, the in-game HUDs and interfaces, they're all just so polished and look incredibly sexy on my DS Lite. It really is brilliant. I think it's the most technically advanced hand-held game full-stop. And that includes the likes of GTA on the PSP.

    PS - Did you know that your offline stuff also adds to your Hunters Licence? Whether it's against other people or bots it all goes on there. Don't mess about too much, don't wanna taint that rep ;)

    I agree. The way everything about the game 'fits' style wise is just such a joy - there aren't many games that I enjoy by just navigating through the menu screens... and I can't remember when I last replayed an FMV intro more than once either. Ah man, you're so right!

    Little details like the touch screen control of your ship and the various options and functions you can access by climbing inside are so well conceived for use with the touch screen. The fact the touchscreen isn't just a gimmick and is integral to combat just makes me smile like a right tit when playing.

    Just a total joy to play.

    Oh an K, play the single player mode. It's really good. The design of the levels and the mood of it all just reeks of 8bit shooters of olden times - despite the cutting edge FPS aspect. The GC Metroid just didn't connect with me tbh, this one does in all the ways that one didn't.

    PS2: Shadow of the Colossus - got up to the eighth one (the one where it's in a sort of er.. extended-upwards-colosseum where you get its attention and it climbs up to greet you with a shower of electricity bolts). Absolutely mint game so far. By far the best colossus for me is the fifth, the flying one. Desperately clinging to a flapping wing, praying the damn thing turns upright pretty soonish is gameplay heaven. My missus was watching me try to get this one done and she was taking sharp 'omg' intakes of breath!

    PC - Broken Sword:The Sleeping Dragon. Bought 2nd hand off the forums, this game had me hooked right to the very end. It gets a bit Tomb Raider 1-ish, pushing crates around for the sake of a puzzle sometimes, but it's such an enthralling story. The acting is superb and the game makes for some pretty tense moments.

    I just picked up Black for my PS2 and I was very happy with it. A few things bugged me, but overall I really enjoyed it.

    On the PC front I have been rocking some Half-Life 2 just 'cause I haven't played it in a while. That and one of my favorite games, Sim Golf!
