BMW yes - provided we're talking M-Cars The rest, not so much (though you could probably buy me with a Cayman GT4). Basically: spoken like someone who never owned an Italian car with some flair. Generally, German cars bore me to tears. They're great at what they do, but there is MUCH more to life than speed (as Top Gear once said: "designed by people with a large collection of very fine pencils"). Playfulness is something Germans can't do.
This is why I love driving my little Mk1 Yaris T Sport. It might only have 105 bhp but going fast in a "slow car" is so much more fun than going fast in something that you expect to be quick.
100% on point. Which is why my 86 is soooo much fun. Yes, it has Yaris tyres, yes, it doesn't feel fast in straight lines (hell - it isn't), but getting that thing through a corner fast is exhilarating.
