I've only ever gotten two responses, and it all depens upon who I'm talking to:

Response one: "Oh, yeah, I've built my computer too, added a light and everything" - poser

Response two: "Wow, can I see?"

the poser one like above and

"what....why?" someone who looks confused and uses computer to only to e-mail. :sigh: Followed by "could you show me how to attach something?"

My girlfriends mom said something about their needing to be sad people in the world, although now 1year 4 months down the line she doesn't complain when im upgrading and fixing her computer... :D

Didn't bother me, at least she was honest.

    indeed it does
anyways the best responce i ever got was being called a nerd for actually knowing how to use a computer, not just sending e-mail and playing java games on the net.

I usually get oddball responses, like this one I got recently: "wow, you must know a lot about computers. So tell me why I get this error message every time I boot my computer." :wallbash:

hehe, mine are always more like that. I end of getting phone calls at 11:00pm or so. so annoying. the sad thing is, I do phone calls for free. I should get a 1-900 number once I move out.
I don't think that would work to well for dating though. hmm.. or maybe it will :d :naughty:

A couple people have said "Oh yeah, I've seen that, with the lights and stuff... That's pretty cool." Then I tell them exactly what I did to mine and they say "wow. Cool."

But most people say, "You did what? WHY?"

Well I've got a suitcase computer now.

The looks on faces are priceless.

Pull the thing out from behind my driver seat in the car, walk in and prop it on the table, then my "travel" 17" CRT, then a mini keyboard/touchpad...

    What do they normally say?

"Oh... so that explains those holes then."

And then they ask a bunch of questions like how/why/for how much...

Let me tell you, it's a great business tool to come with your own fully custom PC :D
