big posted a general link to your own UserCP Options where, I believe, there is an option to turn of Reputations for yourself.

If you would like to see what comments have been left for you MDK, then just click UserCP up there /\

It means, on balance, two more people have given you a point for a useful post than the number of people who have docked you points for giving dodgy advice or being a pain in the ass. AFAICS you only see the most recent award.

It comes in the box with vB3, used properly it's a better n00b guide to quality advice than post count. :thumb:

i think the amount of people actually using the reputation system is what is being referred to

i'm so used to it not being there that i know i've not used it yet

I think what he meant was; there won't be a great deal of participation within the reputation scheme because the members here aren't used to it being there. I don't believe he was aiming his comments at you in any way, and am a little vexed as to how you could think so. It's got nothing to do with how much you participate within the forums, but more the quality of your participation. If you are posting concise, helpful information, people will reward you for it with positive feedback. If you are consistently showing needless aggression, spamming, or being a general pain in the derrière, then your reputation will reflect that when people give you negative feedback.

Calm down, it's just a reputation system. The more agro you get over it, the more negative feedback you will receive for such outbursts. Concentrate on contributing positively to the forums and thou shalt be rewarded.

I know I'll never use it. I'm more apt to tell someone if they have been very helpful, or ignor them if they are being rude. Seems like a waste of code to me, but then again I can see some situations where it might be useful.

Who thinks we should give penski a bad rep? :D

Would just like to extend a thankyou to RTT for his message late last night. His comments are appreciated, and I, in turn, must also apologise. I could have worded my post about the mod's lounge better, and I will try and bear his comments in mind when next posting :). It was not my intention to annoy you either :)

Your offer to remove the comment from my CP is greatly appreciated :)

    Done and done. :thumb:
