Pff... What's next? People who talk to their friends about movies before they go see it? Un-friggin-believable. Linkie
"Mr. Dane, we understand that you told your friends that our movie sucks... please face the wall and spread your legs"
Welcome to the Information Age. Make better movies and maybe people will actually give you money. /me cries Boondock Saints (which people actually went to canada to purchase. THAT, sir, is a good movie)
If they made something WORTH SEEING then yea, it would have the OPPOSITE effect and people would turn out to watch it by the truck load. Only "good" movies so far this YEAR imo have been: Matrix 2 (ok, i like everything matrix, it was highly antisipated) T3 Pirates of Carribean Possibly tomb raider which im off to see tonite. but that's 4!! movies what do they expect??
ya they blame text messaging ROFL I saw reviews of Gigi and it seems like crap in the first place. I heard some where you would have to sign an NDA before you see a movie LMMFAO think about it no more reviews and people would never know the movie was good before hand. honestly the text mess. is a really good Idea cause it will help stop hollywood from producing these movies if they know people hate them and maybe just maybe they might make a good movie for once /me crosses fingers
of course, they could turn it around and take a page outta the RIAA's handbook and start sabotaging text networks with thier own messages to help their cause, don't be suprised if you see this pop up on your phone soon: unknown friend: "d00d just s4w Gigi, it teh roxxor!!... jlo b00bi3s all over the place yo, I smell 4c4d3my 4w4rd.... j00 must s33... j00 should s33 it twice and buy a lot of concessions and the licensed s0undtr4ck which happ3ns to be on sale at 4m4zon for only $24.99"
That is possibly one of the most stupid pig-headed thing I have ever read, that takes the prize away from the RIAA for sure.
I would blame the total lack of originality. Most one-shot movies lately seem to be simple re-makes of older movies. Or ripps of things that people already have expectations for. Other, more original movies, such as the Matrix, Harry Potter, the many Pixar movies are great, but they suffer from the problem that by the time the sequel hits, everyone is totaly sick of the first one, then by the time the final third movie rolls around everyone goes to see it just to finish off the series and get it out of their head. Now I am a VERY avid movie fan, I love them. I have seen The Matrix at least 100 times (and I am not exagerating, I used to run it at work all the time) I don't think I will ever get sick of it. But I know that I will buy The Matrix Reloaded but only watch it 5 or 10 times, and even then I will skip many of the parts. Simply because they don't fit the feel of the original movie. Even the awsome fight scenes are so long that they don't feel fast anymore. Do I tell people not to go to a movie if it's bad? No, I usualy say "it's good enough to see once"
The best movie I've seen this year is Buffalo Soldiers. It's a pretty funny movie and has a great plot and great script. Reccomend it to everyone.
forgot about X2. Finding Nemo isnt out over here yet. Ok, in all about half a dozen from what.. 100s of movies?
Nooo it was great in a sence that i want it to be so much and will believe blindly so. Ok, it wasnt as good as the first, but it was entertaining.
