My accident was on the 30th of last month, I had a solid 8 days before anything happened after they took it to the garage, but since then Admiral have been pretty good (compared to what you're going through, at least!). It took a shirty email, but it was only a couple of days after that they confirmed it was a loss, then on Thursday (16th) I got my valuation.

Luckily, I also only had 2 months until my renewal date, so at least I'm not wasting months of premium either!

    I'm done with women.

They build up your trust and emotions then rip your heart out and stamp on it.

Woman I was with decided last night to tell me she has been seeing someone else for the last week, and then drops the old classic of "I want to stay friends and still spend time with you"

Worst thing is I booked a weekend away for the 2 of us for my birthday weekend, and told her about it last week, and she said she couldn't wait to go, and then decides to do that last night, well luckily it's my mum and dad's anniversary this week so I will just send them instead.

Head is a mess right now.

Mate don’t feel crappy, feel happy that her ways have come to light early in the relationship (i hope) you didn’t make the rookie mistake of buying her lavish gifts. Think of it as a opportunity to work on yourself and meet someone that does deserve the honor of bearing your future children.

Some women are just crappy, remove everything/anything that reminds you of her and try to be positive about the future.

    Still no heating.

And the all-encompassing 'Black Friday' bollocks where it feels like the entirity of the internet is conspiring to rub my face in the fact everything i own is crap and/or broken and that i'm too skint to do anything about it.

basically this, but turned up to 11...

I wouldn't worry to much about so called Black Friday sales as Which found that 60% of the top 35 tech products could have been bought cheaper before the sales. Amazon have included their Echo mini but it can be had for 99p cheaper at John Lewis which us another example of the Black Friday nonsense?

It's more the PC front where there have been some worthwhile price drops... tough atm they could be literally giving it away and it'd be more than i could afford.

combined with the age old 'sorry i can't repay you that money dude... oh but look at this new iphone and all this **** i just bought in the sale' from people around me.

This is one of the most frustrating things in the world.
Them: Mate I need some money for electric and gas
Me : Didn't you buy a £120 jacket last week?
Them: But it was on sale

Fairly sure my entire wardrobe would come to less than that. Less still if you discount anything that really should go in the bin.

Yup spot on, someone owes me a couple hundred, keeps saying theyve not got the money, but theyve just moved into a new place, had a new job recently and bought a cat, so yeah clearly no money.

You know what to do: don't lend money (especially considerable sums like hundreds of pounds) to people with poor money management.

I have a policy of not lending money to friends (beyond say lending someone a tenner until tomorrow). It's just not worth the trouble ime.

Playing devil's advocate, perhaps they have no money because they've just moved into a new place (expensive), had a new job recently (deferred payment schedule), and bought a cat (those furry buggers are a constant source of expenditure, as I know only too well.)

Possibly, just irritates me they've owed me it for more than a year. I lent them the cash when they fell on hard times now they are defiantly not on hard times now. Sorting a place and a job I get, buying a cat in favour of paying your debts, not on in my book.

Trying to mod a bird feeder by adding a tray on the bottom to stop the seeds falling to the grass and doing it on the cheap by using what I had in one of my many junk essentials boxes to stick a plastic lid to the feeder. Fail. lol. Bought some plastic cement.

If it is your first pay check for a while then I suspect that you are paying more than you should, it used to be called emergency tax, whilst HMRC sort your tax code out, or have they finally joined the 21st century and can sort your tax code out quicker than the 4 to 6 weeks it used to take. Your current tax code will give you a clue.
