I genuinely don't think I've eaten a Walnut Whip for about thirty years :D

When it comes to whip sweets, liquorice whip >>>>>>> Walnut Whip

ERROR: Invalid byte sequence for encoding "utf8": 0x00

Except my string doesn't contain the unicode 0x00 character because it's hard-coded to null, and in this particular transfer 5 other columns are also hard-coded to null and do not experience this failure. I literally have no idea what the hell else I can do to solve it. I've already raised a support request with the vendor but I highly highly doubt that someone in Arizona will be able to solve this problem in a complex SSIS data flow by 7am Saturday morning.

Methinks we'll be having our $500 back from PGNP/Intellisoft LLC/whoever-the-hell they are. Which doesn't really help me when their software could potentially reduce the completion time of a data load from ~65 hours down to around 2 hours, which is an absolute requirement for the stuff I have to do this weekend...

Trying to find a wedding reception venue that doesn't cost a million pounds and allows outside catering. Am beginning to think we should say it's a 60th birthday party and we'd probably get the same venues for half the price.

Never mention the W word... Though if you're after recommedations for suitable places in the vague north east, drop me a PM... I know a few places that might fit the bill [and a whole host of ones to avoid...]

...and never, ever, ever mention the W word...

Sadly not in the north east, or pies would be a viable option for the catering. Not that the wife would allow it  Somewhere ideally no more than half hour drive from Olton friary in birmimgham, where the ceremony will (hopefully) be. I'll have to go to 'catholic school' too, which would be OK apart from a friend who had to do the same told me they DO NOT appreciate jokes. I'm in deep deep doodoo. :naughty:

We can do better than pies... just because, as a region, we inflicted Greggs on the world doesn't mean we can't do edible food too...

I'm originally from the other side of the fence and have an almost disturbing love of pastry based goods. I once for tea ate a sheet of just roll pastry baked into fingers, with a jug of gravy for dipping. It wasn't even that real food was scarce, I just really wanted pastry :waah:

Waiting religiously for three days for parcels you sent to the wrong address... What a div.

Well, two of the three any way.

Brought my home PC (specs below) to work, to demo Oculus Rift to my boss.

PC is DOA. Stuck in a pre-BIOS boot loop :wallbash:

Let me know if it turns out to be the mobo or RAM and I might be able to sort you something out.

Had this little beauty on my phone the other day. Apparently the GDPR update on the app they used had a bug.

Everyone who was sent the message from 'Greg golf coach' was also sent any replies to that message, like it was a WhatsApp group. I got about a dozen replies. Even more baffling is how not one of them was "STOP", as needed to unsubscribe.

Took my HDD to see if the buzzing noise was as a result of it not being in the caddy thing properly...

...nope the buzzing is very much the drive.

    Back up/offload all the things!
