    Talk to your mechanic and tell him I've got a line of level 2 students as long as his workshop floor that can do his job! In fact ask him for the autodata service sheet with the service time on it, watch him blush..:nono:

    I'm assuming he doesn't have a line of cars outside all getting timing belts done

    For future reference, to save this sort of thing happening again:

    Switch to LibreOffice; since the fork all the major development has happened there and not on OpenOffice, with the result that LibreOffice is significantly more reliable.

    Also, if a file does end up corrupted, open it in an archive tool (or just rename to .zip and open it in Windows Explorer): you'll find the data in a file called "content.xml" in a lovely plain-text format, ready to be recovered into a new document. (You'll also find things like embedded images in there as individual files, which is always handy.

    Yeah, it seems to be a little-known fact that Office docs are secretly just zip files. I've found it really handy over the years to be able to get into the guts of various Office files.

    Potential Belgian buyer for my car calls, starts complaining that I've priced it too high, offers 1k below asking price. I politely (honest!) decline. Googled the number, basically has a car in the same state as mine except a new paint job for twice my asking amount! Don't waste my bloody time!

    My cars still not ready 2 damn weeks for a stupid clutch cable and some brake pads, when going to pick it up today apparently the “engineer” has lost the bolts for the seat?
