Well there's been no pricing.

Seems to be 2080 performance with no rays but rumours are it is $750 just to build.

Edit: ball drop, $700 RRP with no rays. Nope.

Difference are, this was W7 update (released yesterday, they somehow broke password encryption, so the choices are either to uninstall cumulative update or transmit login credentials in plaintext, fun fun fun),

 

Got the middle finger from Fiio with regards to repairing my bricked X7. Took it to pieces, there's no way to short the appropriate pins to get it into maskrom mode, and it turns out several key pieces of the infrastructure are made of cheese.

Can't say I'll be buying another Fiio DAC any time soon if that's the kind of support one of the flagship models gets once there's a new version floating around.

 

Oh that one, I thought you meant the SMB1 issues on win10. That update wasnt applied here thankfully, the implemented a sensible policy of waiting a month and testing before applying the updates.
Testing is the loosest interpretation of that you can imagine though, but they try.

Current work bug bear is ancient applications that don't run in Win10, users should be ringfenced to not be moved, so they moved a chunk of them, an now they cant do their jobs.
