Dislocated my jaw last Friday, which has caused the filling in one of my teeth to be knocked loose, exposing the nerve. I've now also got an infection forming there and the soonest appointment I could get for dentist to sort it out is Monday (might need root canal done, gonna cost £250 >.>)
The meds they prescribed me dont mix so well, so I'm half out of it at work and can't get up properly in the morning, meaning I'm getting to work late.

 

Any idea how long you've got to get a fix on the situation? I know this is hindsight talking, but I wouldn't move in with people without agreeing on a minimum time limit to fix problems like this. Or just people I trusted. Still, I'm sure she has her reasons.

OK, you're looking at this the wrong way. Change "dad" to "boss". Still sound like you're getting a bum deal, especially after spending a fair chunk of change over last weekend? I know it sucks, but asking for a small advance to tide you over if it's something important shouldn't be a problem. Asking for your full wage packet for something that can wait a day, will normally be met with a negative answer.

Why not try "Dad, can I borrow £xx to buy ________, and I'll pay you back out of my wages tomorrow?" instead of "Boss, can I have my wages today?"

It's 6:05am, I've been awake since 10am and I can't sleep.

I've had 4 gin-and-tonics and it's not helped.

 

Well the rent will be covered for a few months, but it;s more the hassle of finding someone else before christmas.

 

Not having the first clue on what I actually want to do for my final year project.
I know I'd like to do something Game Physics related, but after that I'm blank.
And I'm already thinking that I'm going to fail, because I suck at reports/writing up stuff. I love the coding side and can do most of that if I really put my mind to it, but its the report that's the most important part of the project.

Never being able to think properly, my mind always seems blank, or stirring with other things.


Buying a supposedly good car, for my max budget, then finding a sodding hole in it in a very awkward place that should have caused it to fail its MOT, along with other things. Meaning that in the first 2 weeks of ownership I've already spent £400 on it, and will need to spend another £200 soon too. But this is probably the least of my worries, as it can be bodged by my dad and be fine for a while.

Being stuck in a rut. Go to uni when I've got lectures etc, then come home and sit in front of computer or work on car. That's it.

 

got a seriously dodgy knee, can't even walk on it, totally gave in today.

It's my third time taking this class now and I still have no idea WTF is going on. Optimization is impossible

 

I met this ridiculously fit American girl a few weeks ago, but I have a promotion exam at work tomorrow and I've had to revise so hard I've hardly seen her, if I leave it much longer, it'll fizzle out!

She sent me a text today asking if she could come over tonight and I had to turn her down, this IS KILLING ME!

 

usually I leave my school bag in my car (i commute to school) so that I don't forget anything, just bringing in my electronics (netbook, phone, and zune) because it's starting to get cold outside....

Well last night I brought my whole bag inside, and in the rush to get out before the bus traffic this morning, I left everything but my phone and zune at home.... however, due to the fact that my phone was dead (with the charging cable in my netbook sleeve), and not having any headphones (also in my netbook sleeve), those two are useless to me anyway....

Now I'm stuck using one of my schools incredibly crappy dells, and to top it all off, I have none of my notes for any of my classes because of my lack of netbook...
