Having to try and wrangle my car to work in the morning knowing that there will only be me and the guy I'm picking up who have bothered to account for the snow - finger crossed that 4Wd is enough...

 

Yet another day of waiting for my DHL package. I called at 7pm to be told "It's fine, it's on the truck and it'll be with you within the hour, we guarantee!". Of course it hasn't shown up.

I'm supposed to be going climbing tomorrow with a friend I havn't seen for 6 months. If I have to stay in to wait for this damned thing all day again I will be fuming.

 

Well that's a kick in the teeth as Steam would have been the only way for me to update the game and play online.

Wouldn't start on Saturday afternoon, so I got a new Battery on monday. Turns out that Battery was wrong (thank you, battery shop - you guys realyl DO seem to know WTF you're doing... NOT), so I had to fight with them to get it replaced. Did that yesterday. Car worked. Drove 40km to the airport this morning to pick up my sister. Drove the 40km back, stopped at a shop to buy some breakfast, car won't start.
Spent 2 hours getting the car towed, a courtesy car, etc. F.M.L.

I know it's probabyl the alternator, but it still sucks frikken monkey nuts.

Not getting paid because I was taken off the pay-role for no particular reason, therefore having to pause all current plans.

Now having to drive dad around for his job (as a DHL delivery guy) as he's done something to his leg.

And an aweful cough just to annoy me that little bit further.

 

This is admittedly a very minor annoyance, but Coke Zero does not taske like Coke!

I am a self-proclaimed soda connoiseur and can tell every time in the aspartame after-taste. Quite a bother.

 

a) Realizing two months virtualized DR project running over December (and I am going on leave in one weeks time) is physically and mentally getting to me. All the late night testing, tuneing and fixing the unkowns that come with this type of project is leaving me worn out.

b) Need to most properly start attending VMWARE courses next year as I cannot continue doing the work I am doing without being accredited.

c) Skipped important cocktail/client function because I have stopped drinking (only two months clean) and not in the mood to be around a potential bunch of drunk high profile people

d) Waiting for Cataclysm ...,

e) Waiting for my GTX580 ....

f) Doubting my dream of running a IT consultancy company with like minded people due to absolutely shitty market (Unless I wanna do **** like POS, repair centres, etc)

 

I now have one less living relative.

 

Custody battle, almost bankrupt, quitting smoking, having to quit a job I had had for almost 4 years so I can be closer to home for lawyers, kids, etc.


Also car isn't legal to drive on the road, can't afford to fix it, and i need it to get to work still.

Quitting smoking should be in the what makes your life awesome thread. I'm quitting for the second time (? ) and it feels great.

I feel bad for the rest though, sounds like you're in a tough place.

Went to go play with the Fallout: New Vegas G.E.C.K, and it wouldn't let me save..... after much head-scratching (and the hour that I was going to play around with it before bed), I realized that it was because of Ultra-Mon putting those little "switch to other monitor" buttons on windows inside the GECK program...

 

Three nights in a row trying to fix the same PC, unsuccessfully.

I now have to dismantle both it, and my PC, and using my known-working parts, ascertain exactly which bit is faulty.

NOT fun

 

Living within walking distance of work, means I don't get the day off

 

Reality's starting to sink in. I need to man up and do what's right by everyone. I braved a psych evaluation yesterday and crowds of hundreds on stages across the continent, I can tackle this head-on.

Still rubbish, though. Need some Fruit Gums for courage (they're like my personal crack).

 

Your taste buds are messed up. There's a big difference between diet, zero and regular coke. Regular coke is really sweet (as you'd expect).

 

The fault I bought a new car battery for Turns out ot have been a faulty battery AS WELL AS a faulty battery cable....

Only, I'm going home at xmas, and they need me to work boxing day etc. Bummer.

But on the plus side, he said he'd call back in January, so hopefully with any luck I'll become a nightclub photographer! *crosses fingers*

 

I appreciate the time has passed, but where I am all the delivery men will leave the package with a neighbour/under a parked car/in one of your bins if you leave them a note.
