Heh cheers Bakes, but as horrible as it sounds I don't trust them with high value items. It was an iPhone 4 (here now!) and easily recognizable as one. If I left a note then it could easily have 'disappeared' and the note would have counted against me in any claim I made.

I didn't need the thing urgently, I just hate wasting time. I was even told on the phone that it would be with me in an hour and it arrived 2 days later with a few knocks on the box where it'd obviously rolled around in the back of the van for a few days. Not stunning service!

Anyway, it's here now and no longer ruining my life. In fact not much is, aside from the fact I still need to do my xmas shopping. GAH!

Yeah, you say 'leave at neighbour, number 4's usually in', they deliver there, say they delivered there and then it counts in your favour.

I guess I must be one of the more frequent users of this service - in the past few weeks I've probably had about £5k's worth of stuff delivered to the old dear next door lol

The next time my in-laws suggest they would like a new graphics card and I am tempted to say anything other than "sure, let me know how it goes", please stab me with pointy objects until I get the point (pun intended). Attempt #4 tonight - the grand deconstructacon.

If I'm lucky, my own PC might be working by the time I'm done.

My darling daughter just knocked my hp 2500 series laptop off the chair. Touchscreen is bust. Battery is cracked. Merry Christmas.

I couldn't be bothered about health risks. I drink far too much soda (normally not diet!), eat way too many greasy foods and never get any fruits (okay on veggies, just don't like most fruits). The effects of a very small amount of artifical sweetener are probably the least of my dietary concerns!

My reasoning is that if you accept your flaws they're okay :D

Got too drunk yesterday. Somehow managed to puke on a girl's leggings, fortunatly not much. This has made me realise that I don't really have fun whenever I'm drinking so as of today, no more alcohol except for New Years eve party.

Reasons for stopping? Except from the obvious health benefits I want to start marathon-training.

I know exactly what you mean. I've pulled my own PC or PCs apart countless times to test or repair a customer's broken machine. It's even more annoying when it takes so long to get to the bottom of what's wrong - three days is a bit ridiculous. I charge every penny for anything that takes that long to repair, and recently I've been strict and that's whether they are a relative or not. I'm running a business, not a charity. Nobody has argued a bill with me for over 12 months anyway, and that person was an idiot because I actually saved him money.

Hehe, whilst I could argue with you about that, I'm not going to. Somehow I admire that way of thinking. I'm not a health nut or anything myself, but I've been well warned about Asparatame. I drink very little cola/soft drinks/soda anyway :)

That's a nice spec list, but I don't quite understand what you mean when you say it will make your machine look pathetic. Obviously if that's the case it isn't for you, so who's it for? And what sort of case is it going in - a LittleDevil scratch build? Oh and let me be the first to advise you to avoid the Fluid XP. Unless they changed their formulation in the past 12 months, you'll have furred up pipes and blocks in less than 6 months of daily use with that stuff.

It's a dream rig... I had to take a break from coding, made this... Wish I had the £6k to build it though. Think I'd crack on with some folding as well :D

    EDIT:

    One of these cases: Here.

Ah, sorry mate... I misread your post. You said "Wanting to build this" and I read it as "Waiting to build this".

    Apologies! Some day, eh? ;)
