Wait until they are. They soon learn. IE, that a car is much harder and safer than being on a two wheeled bike. You tend to find they don't take the piss after a tumble.

I wish it didn't need to come to that. E-scooter riders especially seem to have far too much faith in the average motorist, unaware that at least half of them are gormless, looking at their phones, unfit through drink or drugs or just plain incompetent :sigh:

On our latest shopping order, my multipack of ready salted Pom Bears got substituted for salt and vinegar ones :(

I've just had to explain to one of the DBA's that it IS an issue when I receive a value of NULL instead of the 0 (zero) I was expecting. And that no, they are not the same thing.
Gives some insight into why the naming of tables/columns is all over the place.

Catastrophe avoided, they seem to work well as an addition to a smoked ham and cheese sandwich.

Our extension was finished almost a month ago and we are still waiting for the patio doors to go in.

Looks like we might not even get them in before Christmas now, despite site survey / measurements having been being taken in mid September!

    serious dislike.
Its taken over a year for our extension to have the last "snag" finished/fixed... so feel the frustration. And when i say snag, actually making the damn thing waterproof by putting trim round the windows.

    Mum has cancer.

I ordered her a tablet from Amazon on BF, which never materialised. They've given me a refund, now I can't afford to buy her the tablet I ordered her because the price has doubled.

Ordered myself a pair of trainers, same deal. DPD still stating they haven't collected the parcel. Amazon must have been using them too.

Went downstairs to put up the Christmas tree. Trying desperately to do something cheerful and festive. Only I can f**k off on that too. We've not used the tree for about three years (as mum took a tumble last year and there was no Christmas) and the base is missing. New one? £30.

Been trying hard for the past couple of years not to complain, but I swear there's some Christmas conspiracy **** going down.

My grandmother was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disorder. Not sure which one at the moment, will be dropping in to see her to find out more.

Having to take apart this laptop. It's a very delicate job, it's all plastic clips and fragile cables...

It does mean, however, that I can change the battery in it... and liberate this SSD to use in my desktop machine as a games drive. It's not PCIe 4, but a 1TB PCIe 3 drive is still pretty damn speedy for a games drive. This machine can't even make full use of this drive, it only has 2x PCIe lanes for NVMe SSDs....

A while ago we had a really nice wooden filing cabinet where we kept all our most important paperwork. everything was in that filing cabinet and life was much easier when you needed to find that particular thing... Instantaneously you could locate that document relieving so much stress from my life.

One day my partner had this super amazing fantastic idea. Lets replace it with a completely useless decorative piece of furniture with no purpose whatsoever. We'll have no place for the filing cabinet, you'll have to reluctantly recycle it and we'll have no logical place to store such vital information.

But fear not! we'll instead put dribs and drabs of it in the most obscure locations around the house, and with that it becomes a never ending treasure hunt of god forsaken misery....

    I CAN'T FIND STUFF

Yup, ditto, "form instead of function" could be my wife's middle name, drives me mad when she keeps buying stuff...only made worse by her refusal to get rid of anything, our house is the definition of clutter.

It's a fine line between "clutter" & "hoarder" :worried:
