    /raises hand

Another here. My OH seems to think "it's lived in" is a reasonable response to all the crap she leaves lying around. Everywhere.

    Drives me nuts.

Bosses who ask for "important" details about a CAD model you just closed, that takes 20mins to re-open, just as you're reaching for the shutdown button.

Our important documentation is stored in the safe, to which only I have the combination. Ever dialled a safe? It's really fun.

It’s selfish when people think it’s ok to be messy just because they can’t be arsed to look after the space around them and tidy up after themselves. It is one of my biggest gripes and I feel your pain.

They then have the audacity to say “but would you have me any other way?” And when you reply “well, yes. Not lazy and a pig” they get the hump and everything is your fault for them being dragged up by knuckle dragging luddites.

    sigh

By far the worst day of your life. It doesn’t get easier, the turning and looking by your feet doesn’t stop and time certainly does not heal. My boy only left me a few weeks ago and it feels like yesterday. So far it’s been worse for me than losing friends and family. He was a dog but he was my dog and one of my kids. I wish you all the best mate.

Form over function is definitely ringing true here, very occasionally we’ll have these discussions about something that needs changing in the house. I raised the fact we had no reasonable storage in the living room for smaller toys, books & such. things had started to become messy and cluttered. We nestled into our opposite sofa corners and got to doing some research.

I suggested we opt for a sideboard, something with reasonable compartment space. Decent depth to accommodate everything and doors to hide the boxes of nick nacks so it had a nice clean aesthetic. This would sit under the tv so the bigger the better in my view.

    my suggestion

Now.. those observant will realise that not only is that not a sideboard, but It’s possibly the most inefficient storage solutions to ever be put forward without being a joke. “We could put a plant on it though”

I mentioned I was thinking of replacing our office chair during lockdown and she found some very pretty stools and an armchair as suggestions. Anyway. Ended up getting an ergo chair through work who were offering them at the equivalent of a 1-of-5000 order while they did a fitout at the new office.

Take plenty of pictures and videos. It's tearing my soul apart right now going over old pictures, but I should have taken more, especially video.

FedEx updates, was expecting a parcel Monday and still not received it. Fully expect delays with covid and Christmas which isn’t the issue.

The issue is I have absolutely no idea when I may see it. Delivery update is pending continuously which is annoying as you’d think it would be at least close by now. This 2 day service has so far taken over a week…

I had this recently with FedEx.
    Dispatched 24th November.
Delivery due 29th November, but no sign and no updates.
Eventually turned up on 6th December.

It got stuck as soon as it hit the UK, rest of the tracking and logistics points were hit without issue.
