So sorry to hear about your wife, really hope she has a steady recovery. Glad you're staying home, family always first, especially the family that's picked us.

Don't worry about the Netherlands, I'll keep an eye out for you as I'm already here. So far the weather is miserable so you're not missing out on anything anyway. Better to be home.

Looks like our Nest thermostat might have S$£T the bed. Seems to be stuck in a restart loop. It has had issues with connecting or even finding, either of our wifi networks for a while as well. Going to do a manual restart and reset and see if that helps. Otherwise it's still under warranty so I might be able to get it replaced under that. If that fails then I need another and I will probably switch to another system. I mean it is nice having Google everything as it all talks to each other pretty well, we have the wifi mesh and the doorbell as well, but it all seems to be a little over-simplified, especially with things like the wifi and router setup. Going to cost a chunk to wholesale move away to another system though.

 

I feel like i've been hit by a bus...

Kid hit by a car right outside our place this morning. Everyone seems to be ok thankfully.

 

Kitchen was ripped out earlier this week, currently in a state of almost plastered and just found out the fitter doesn't do vinyl sheet flooring which is what we went for due to a specific pattern.
Hopeulyl he can find someone, but also realised it may involved more work anyway as floor isn't 100% smooth (old concrete floor) and am now worrying about moving white goods into position and it tearing

 

Can’t I just get one damn nice day, so I can ride my bike?!

 

Got to arrange getting the rabbits neutered.

One is being a territorial jackass. They’d always been humpers, but since the new hutch has been in place one in particular is spraying everything/chasing the other poor sod from parts of the hutch.

It’s the responsible thing to do and it should curb the behaviour but again paying for animals I didn’t really want in the first place.

Don't get me wrong I do like the little fellas. Had it been my decision though they would have had different owners and I wouldn’t have grown to like them at all.

But here we are… *reluctantly opens wallet*

I'm tired and not picking my feet up properly because of it; I've just stumbled over a tub of Lego, spilling it. In the process of cleaning it up, I realised the tub had wee in it

 

****ing car insurance - same company, same car, same cover, no incidents: 60% increase in premium.

Any company that can beat my renewal wants more than double excess, like £500 or more. Bunch of robbing bastards.

 

Human wee, or animal wee? When I was a kid we had a massive tray of Lego that we were always under strict instruction to cover over and/or put away when we were finished with it. The reason for that? Our cats found that it made a reasonably good approximation to their litter tray.

I have vivid memories of having to decant said Lego tray into the bath to clean it all

 

It was from a little boy who has had all of his Lego confiscated as a result

Apparently when I was a kid I used to pretend I worked at the Rovers Return when I had a bath by taking my dads shaving mug and peeing in it.

Then after doing my best Bett impression I would put it back.
