The big C can really go do one.

Mum has finally had her second round on Chemo, 6 weeks late and a tiny portion of the dose she should have had. The first dose completely wiped her out so just waiting for the same reaction again, this time of course starting from a lower base. She has so many drugs and injections to take to try and keep the levels somewhat normal.

For context she is 5'2" tall and weighs 36KG clothed with shoes on... There is nothing to her for the Chemo to take.

After having a tooth ripped out Friday, I now have a massive abscess in another part of my mouth, and if that wasn't bad enough, right next to it is a huge ulcer. The combined sensation makes me make to do some home dentistry and pull out my front teeth.

Was at a "sports day" put on at work, started feeling a bit queasy and light headed so had to get an Uber back home. Codeine and anbesol now being consumed at a rate of knots.

She passed away in the early hours of yesterday morning, I'm not sure the full story but it seemed like she was fobbed off. Massive amount of unexplained weight loss which was put down to a apparent eating disorder (again not sure the details).

By the time it was found it was far too late, I think even with early diagnosis it was one of the harder to treat cancers. I can't really get my head around it all really. From diagnosis to this it's been like 10 days....

A family friend was also diagnosed recently with stomach cancer at 36 and is at the end of life.... What a ****ing life man...

    So sorry. Just awful.

Friend of mine had esophageal cancer, they found it early but it still took him in less than 6mo. I feel like anything round that region is just a death sentence.

this sounds really stupid but on my patch theres a house, and outside this house there is a beautiful 5.0l Mustang in grabber blue with double black stripes and silver alloys (my dream car although the wrong colour) and whenever I'd have a **** set or come off a really bad job and I'm wombling around the patch I'll often patrol past this house and the sight of this mustang would cheer me up no end even to the point where the team jokingly refer to it as Gunnys stang.

Last night just before I clocked off we had a report in that it had been stolen, its not my motor but I drove home lastnight genuinly miserable. ****ers.

We had a professional assessment carried out today and… yeah… it’s about the worst case scenario it could be. The immediate issues I mentioned earlier are no longer a problem, but there are some very large and very long-term issues that will be very expensive to fix.

I’m not going to get any more specific, and I’ve edited the earlier post, because I’m seeking legal advice.

Suffice it to say that I will be using every available legal avenue to nail the responsible party to the ****ing wall.

Nah, he's gone home. fired up the internet, looked under the blue nylon car cover and is currently looking at custom american auto paint colors (see what I did - I used a yank word instead of a real word). The paint job may take a while, but will be very detailed, a whole car is a LOT of work with an air-brush.

The sheer amount of people who use apostrophes incorrectly in formal documentation. Yes, it's always incorrect pluralisation. I can tolerate it in informal chitchat, but it looks bloody unprofessional otherwise. Even more annoying is when it's done by people who are senior to me by a decade or more.

When people start trying to play it down, the conversation then tends to go along the lines of "If I can't trust you to use an effing apostrophe correctly, why on Earth would I trust you with something that actually matters?".

I am, as the kiddies say, "Down with the sickness".

Something flu-adjacent, at the very least.

Team planning session today and my "squad" has 4 times the workload of any other, as well as doing most of the BAU type work.

At some point I imagine you were told "You just need to be more efficient with your time".
