One of our cats is now in the vets, and will be going under anaesthetic to be catheterised, in order to remove urine stones. Worried. Yet also optimistic/hopeful. Don't know how to support my partner properly, already ****ed it up. And hafta find £600 magically. Or more, if they need to keep him overnight.

I've always lived her and they knew, the oversight is that she didn't tell them I got a job and they just assumed I've stayed unemployed forever.

But she says she was told she didn't have to do that and it didn't affect her benefits, which I guess is her mixing benefits up.

How old? It's always a bit scary to go under and know there's a non-zero chance you don't wake up, or wake up the same, but even for very old cats the risk is rare. Ultimately, if surgery is being done, it's because it has to be done and there's no other reasonable, humane choice. It's the most caring choice.

He’s six and very healthy/boisterous. But yeah we have to get him help so that’s all there is to it.

I am ADHD inattentive type. I feel this all the time, it's very disorientating. I hope it doesn't mess with your head too much!

****ing P1 on the office WiFi. On the day I’m co-ordinating a very urgent and very manual release to address a legal GDPR compliance issue that’s been foisted on us by one of our European suppliers.

I can’t postpone it, primarily because of the urgency, but also because the office plays host to a hackathon over the next two days and hardly anyone is going to be around.

Even if my work MacBook had a LAN port, there is no wired network at our office any more.

****’s sake, personal hotspot it is then…

Luckily the DBA doing the bulk of the grunt work is in India, so my part is mostly co-ordination, monitoring, verification, testing, approval, signoffs, etc, rather than actually deploying stuff… But I have to use VPN over personal hotspot to access the systems I need… which means my connection is going to slow to a crawl… which means it’s going to take me twice as long to get anything done…

I love having the tools to do my job. I love being able to leave work on time.

Do have ADHD but its DID for me that's making things wild and trying to understand how memory works with it isn't easy. Usually its me who's in control, sometimes I'm simply an observer when an alter is in control of this bag of meat and bones, sometimes its full on amnesia. Yet I've done my job, socialised, have had dates with partners and roll on with life. And get told I've been someone else

Things started making sense once I got diagnosed but I have a great many questions that need answers

Yup just got an amazing job and now speeding tickets are coming to haunt me and screw everything up, 96 in a 70 at 00:11 in the morning, now I’d honestly be less depressed if I could remember what I was doing and actually was the one driving but my memory is screwed.

so far I’ve checked photos, message logs, location logs, navigation logs, and everything else and for the life of me can’t remember why I would have been there at that time. Like surely I still use the sat nav for going to the dentist and know the route off by heart so what the heck was I doing there at that time??? It makes no sense!

Sounds like your numberplate was cloned, have they sent you pictures of the vehicle? Is it actually the same trim etc?

Absolutely looks like the car and trim unfortunately, even has the special badge from bmw which are hard to find from the photos, I just can’t for the life of me remember why I was in the area.

HWinfo can't see any device info other than the name. Adrenaline won't load stating incompatibility with my AMD graphics device.

I believe it may be shagged.

Yeah, looks like my 9070 XT - just breaking out a spare machine to verify, but a different card in the same rig is working just dandy.

Powercolor. Yeah - I'll just have to RMA it.

The annoying thing is the effort I've had to go to, just get enough parts together to test the bloody thing on another rig - just moved house and everything is in a wall of boxes in the dining room; or still in the garage at the old house.

I fully understand mate, we've been renting a good while now looking for a place to buy and there's so many boxes stuffed away that I'd have to move again to know what's actually in them.

    Pain in the backside.

Dave, that's a right pain all round.
    Hope the RMA goes well
