I don't think Picarro meant it as giving up on her man, read it from the perspective of a person who has no knowledge of side effects of strokes in dogs. Your first post leaves room for reading between the lines and it gives the impression her quality of life has taken a turn for the worse with no mention of how likely a recovery is.

Hope she gets better soon! :)

Lack of inspration to draw anything really... and after spending 3 years doing Art & Design at college, it's rather depressing.
Lack of social skills which in turn is preventing me from getting a girlfreind, and being single for 4-5 years doesn't help.

It was on no way meant disrespectfully and I am very sorry if it was perceived that way. EvilMerc explains pretty well what went through my mind when writing the post.

I was correct my friend is a complete douche so i send him a message after another friend tells me he saw him and he mentioned going out

To which he replys "Oh yeh my m8s are coming down tommorow will go out tuesday" to some shitty sand dune and a equally shitty park (seriously now we're not 13) "and go out in eve for drinks"

Im working 9 hour day tuesday...

"(BOY NAME) and (BOYNAME) will drive down"

WHAT THE **** DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT "Yeh not really into having a sausage fest" oh my god are you that thick you don't actually understand what i mean, for crying out loud.

After reading this i smacked my head against the table in a pure moment of disbelief i want to have fun not listen to them talk about pokemon or whatever crap he is in to (yeh he still is)

    Thanks man :)

Yeah I left my original post lacking in details as I didn't want to bore anyone. Also the likelyhood of recovery was..well it differs from dog to dog. There was no way of knowing one way or the other. It was quite hard to talk about.

Blossom (my dog) has actually improved somewhat. She is now holding down food though we are giving her very small amounts but frequently, like we are with the water. She has perked up and is taking an interest in what's going on and is much more her usual self. Still quite unsteady on her feet but she is no longer staggering everywhere and falling over. Her eyes arn't flicking from side to side any more either, which is great. :) (a classic sign in dogs of a stroke is the eyes flicking from side to side..oddly in people this is a classic sign of vertigo).

    My sister.

She left a chicken bone out (left over chicken from the BBQ yesterday), and my dog, being the sneaky bugger he is, decides to eat it. Bad thing seeing as they shatter and could cause potential problems.

How is it ruining my life? Well I'm now getting an earful for not clearing it up. I'm sorry, but it's not my ****ing mess, and she should do it.

****ing stuck up bitch of a 14 yr old sister. I already miss being at uni.

Get home last night from a nice working weekend in Utrecht (Netherlands), to find my housemate broke my headphones.... not just the headphones (snapped the left side clean off) but also bent the jack on my soundcard when the wires were pulled out.
(Claims the cat was on the table and got its foot tangled in the wire.... )

Anyone got an idea on a new headset I can make em pay for? (was using the Fatal1ty HS-980) Price max £120, wired prefered, detatcheable mic is optional

(instead of derailing the thread, PM me with ideas. *been looking at the Sennheiser PC350*)

Last week I had a very bad eczema flare up and, because I can't see my dermathologist before june, I went to the clinic in hope someone would help me. I saw two doctors I had never met before and they prescribed me medication that did miracles. Good story so far, right ?

One of them wanted to see me a week later to see how the treatment went so, today, I showed up and noticed we weren't going in the same office. Apparently, last week was for my eczema and this week was for a classic "follow up", meaning that, from now on, she would be my "médecin de famille" (meaning I don't go see A doctor from now on, I go see MY doctor). It's extremely difficult these days to get a "médecin de famille" and I didn't even have to ask to get one, the clinic just decided I should stfu and take the offer :hehe:. Great story, huh ? Wrong thread, you say ? Not really.

Since I was a new patient she started asking questions regarding my overall health so I told her everything she had to know. Had we have been last summer, before my blood clot, I would have just had a clean record, but it was still quite good and she realized she didn't have anything to worry about. That went well, except that was only the physical part...

...We then switched to my psychological health and well... let's just say I didn't score too good. I proceeded to tell her about all of my issues and, after a while, she told me I should definitely see a psychologist and gave me a paper to book an appointment with one.
She's obviously not a specialist but I know she is right because I basically self-diagnosed myself a long time ago. I just never had the balls to do anything about it (anxiety problems, duh).

Anyway.. long story short, I have psychological issues that have caused me to live a life of isolation, which caused me basic health issues (overweight). I need to change a lot of things in my life but I feel like I have mount everest to climb, twice. One thing at a time, I suppose.

I'm sure it was tl;dr for most of you but it's okay

I have the second highest number of posts in this thread

Feck that's depressing. Although quite a few of those are me saying "tough break :(* to others, rather than all 206 posts being me whinging about my life. Thankfully.

If you found this posts angelic twin brother and saw what I did thar, feel free to... you know... spread the "love" ;-)

I rank third and I would say only about a tenth of those posts are me complaining. Maybe I am completely wrong, though.

    EDIT: make it nine tenth

I want to believe that the Alternate Voting system will produce fairer results, but ultimately it will not force MPs to represent the average person any better, it'll just confuse most people about how the voting actually works and make them care even less.

I guess I will flip a coin, and then if I don't wanna vote that way I know my answer.

Edit: As I'm a postal voter for some reason I have to apply for a ballot paper, and its not freepost.

Just not going to bother then. It would take more effort to go somewhere to buy a bloody stamp than it would just to walk to the polling station, oh no, I HAD to postal vote.

Joined late into a class this quarter since I didn't really know how I wanted to schedule things and ended up slacking past the normal deadline.

Realizing very quickly that the professor kindly neglected to inform me that, for some reason which I have yet to understand, no one shows up to the classroom on one of the two days. I check the syllabus for an answer and see that the days are alternating as "T" days and "R" days. No, it never explains what that means. I'm now totally confused and am hoping to get some answers on today's "T" day, possibly without learning that I missed too much after already being a week behind.

EDIT: 9th on total posts, majority are whining about issues like the above which pale in comparison with real problems.

EDIT2: 15th on the Awesome thread. Guess it's not so bad. The top three are still the same talledega>Unicorn>knuck line-up though!

In year 3 of a 2 year assignment, and still don't know where we'll be next. We're fighting the urge to put every thing we own in to boxes and sit outside waiting for the shipping container to arrive. Christ, anywhere would be ok, as long as we could make some plans. Even, *sigh*, the US. But, just tell me so I know.

EDIT: Ok, not anywhere. We ARE really over the middle east. And not the mid west USA, except Minneapolis. I could just barely handle MPLS for 2 years. and not Texas, dear God, please.

Well I feel a little silly for not knowing that! Sadly my mystery remains.

Last Thursday no one was there at the same room and time as the Tuesday prior. Not a holiday or anything, students in the class next door were there right on time. I recognize one of them who wears prescription sunglasses indoors because I always think "what kind of asshole wears sunglasses indoors?" before remembering he told me why. The professor didn't say anything about it the class prior and the syllabus had the second half of our chapter 6 lecture scheduled for the day!
