    Dude. Chill.

Chances are you're just going slightly mad, and judging by previous... events posted on here you overthink things far too much.

What's ruining my life? I have work this evening after having a week off :( That, and I'm practically skint, roll on payday!

I got offered a job 6 weeks ago. I had a medical, reference check and resigned my old position.

Today they inform me they have withdrawn the offer as I am unable to work night shifts with the medicine I take.

Gotta beg my old job back. I haven't felt this **** in ages

    That sucks^.

I got suspended for a week ( on full pay ) in relation to several incidents that have happened at work over the last ~2 weeks. Some one has been entering the shop over night ( it's on a naval base btw ), opening the locked safe where the takings and till floats are kept and removing random sums of money- such as all the pound coins & a few £20s / £5s etc. Then they re-seal the takings/ float bag with a new security tag ( numbered, so we know it's been tampered with over night ) and and leave the shop again after locking the door & padlocking it again on their way out ( the key for the safe was hidden in a cup on the shelf ).

Now, over the weekend the safe key was placed onto the main key bunch so that it too had to be signed in / out from the main office in the evening/ morning, so the only person(s) who could have committed the crimes was a member of the MGS ( glorified receptionists essentially for military bases ) who took the keys at night and let themselves into the shop to steal the money, then returned the keys to their peg in the main office whilst everyone else was asleep on base pretty much.

These incidents have happened when all members of staff have been working the early/ late shifts, not just myself, but as 'luck' would have it I was working at the time of the majority of the thefts took place- for example, cash from friday evening's float was removed friday night/ saturday morning which I discovered when I went to check it saturday morning before opening up- £54 of pound coins gone. I also worked the late shift sunday and the early shift monday, and someone stole £17 pound coins and a fiver from the float I did sunday evening which I discovered this morning when I opened up.

Ofcourse, that looks as though I took the money at some point when I was on my own sunday evening or monday morning ( reported it at 07:25 when I managed to get someone to answer their phone.. ), so as a 'precautionary measure' I have been suspended pending a full investigation ( they already have half a dozen statements form me and other staff after each incident took place and was discovered ).

Right now I just feel like **** as I'm more or less being accused of stealing about £500+ since easter yet the useless *******s could easily have installed cctv to catch the night-burglar in that period, given the seriousness of the offense and the location too but instead they decided circumstantial was enough to suspend someone. I seriously hope more money goes missing so that they realize it wasn't me- even though money did go missing on a weekend when I wasn't even working so... yeah.

On the up side, 7 days paid holiday, just hope I don't loose my job at the end of it as circumstantial evidence isn't enough to form the basis of a dismissal or prosecution, I'll hammer them at court if it comes to it, on grounds of unfair dismissal and unfair treatment.

    :sigh:

I have been up since before 7 trying to get things done but because of my banks stupid and unnecessary changes to their security software/ebanking log-on process and the fact that it's now actually s**t, I haven't got anything done for the past hour. o2 aren't much better. Their entire site makes my skin crawl... it's so poorly written and laid out :grr:

@sujith34 - That really sucks man, I know how it feels to be out of work. Welcome to the forums a swell BTW.

@ Picarro - I hate that feeling, I feel the same way about my JAVA programming course.

Well had to go to the police station to fill out a police report for the accident I was involved in yesterday. Also found out that my insurance excess is $1300AUD and as far as I can tell I only have $400AUD to my name so this should be interesting. Now I need to go through the hassle of getting repair quotes and getting the insurance company to approve.

Been studying for a CCNA certification for ages now and not getting anywhere. Every single time I take a mock test and fail, I end up re-evaluating my revision techniques and find myself going back to page 1 of my 1000 page study guide.

I also failed my driving test for the third time yesterday. This weekend's UFC isn't even worth looking forward to!

Postie being a thieving git (I presume).

No sign of my Amazon order, which was sent last Thursday. Turns out my postie is 19 and looks a bit shifty... I'm going to come to a conclusion unless my game suddenly turns up (LA Noire).

At least it gives me an excuse to replay Mafia 2 though whilst I wait for Amazon to send me another one... (which they might do if I wait for another week!)

Only a small issue really, but on top of a fairly rubbish day... sigh. You guys have much better problems. :p

My bandmate hasn't got his copy of LA Noire from Amazon either. The PS3 version. He paid extra for it to be shipped for release, too. Perhaps an overload of sales sapped at the stock?

I spent three hours yesterday fixing my parents' PC. Completely clogged with crap and 10 trojans, pieces of spyware etc. were found.

over-thinking the loss of a friend a week ago. Seems like life sent me on this massive high last friday when my mom tied the knot with her fiancee and was dead happy. Now on saturday morning I have to go say goodbye to a friend... proper dragging me off my moral high-ground and making me a grumpy ba+tard the past 3 days, saying that in the evening i've got a group of friends coming over and I'm concerned about not being the usual, positive and modest host that I usually am!

Yes... Brawl, Modest... only happens occassionally.

Me and Rum are going to have heavy involvement saturday night I think.

Gonna have abit more of a rant aswell actually.

    [incoherant rant]

Also, dickish customers who don't understand how the postal system works AND that it takes time to recieve documents and allocate them to a 16000 case-load work flow AND who clearly don't realise that they aren't the most important people in this goddamn universe when I've just assessed a claim for a 87 year old lass who didn't realise she could claim for the past 23 goddamn years.

Christ I swear if I could legally get away with taking a sledgehammer to the kneecaps of humanity, today it would be several sledge hammers stuck together with chewing gum powered by some giant 1000Volt Battery to scare the crap out of people.

    [/incoherant rant]

UPS lost a Mac Pro, value of £1400. I say lost, but a 27Kg box is hard to misplace, so it has basically been stolen.

This was a month ago. They're now not following their own published guides on the claims process, and are still saying "security" are looking in to it. Don't care. I sent in my claims documents and proof of value, which should take a matter of minutes to pay out on. But no.

    Dicks. Total dicks.
