Other What's ruining your life right now?

Its a mish mash of electronics and computing i kinda think its been made up if im honest....

The computing is ok but the electronics im really struggling with in terms of exams, my fingers are crossed that both electronics i pass on so i won't resit them else i'll probebly forget it all and do even worse!

I have two computing coming up software and systems one will be tough but its a subject i have my own abilitys with so im not going to be pulling a blank in the exam.

I just want to pass the exams make it up with coursework marks and get onto the second year which is less electronics more computing instead of the other way round this year

 

I was exactly the same way at uni, I did a BEng degree in electrical and electronic engineering and the electronics side of the course confused the hell out of me. A few things clicked and they helped a lot with other parts but it was the electrical side of things (as well as some of the programming and project presenting and management) that pulled me through. That's one of the great things about modular courses, if you are weak in one area but can at least get through with a passing grade then your stronger areas can be used to pull your overall grade up.

 

I kinda wish it was that easy

Im confident about coursework on all electronics related stuff i would like to think its over 40% of the marks. however to pass i need 30% on the exam but 40% on average coursework and exam together!

If i fail the exams i have 2 options to resit one in july/august and if i fail that! one next year

Thing is my tutors wrote the exams and next time a examiner writes them meaning he will look at the WHOLE subject (even stuff we might not have gotten round to learning) and write exam questions on ANYTHING.

As long as i pass two out of the three electronics i can revise my ass off for the one i feel like we have done no revision i mean literally 50% of the stuff we had been "revising yesterday" was completely new to us.

The waiting game on exam results... they could be out at any time in the next 13 days!

 

ebuyer wants to give me a partial refund for my xfx be 5970, because they can't replace with anything, meh CC claim is already winging its way as i type, i want a full refund. It will be up to the small claims court to decide now.

Been revising like mad and everyones expecting me to pass.... Apart from me.

Well my legs still pretty wrecked but down from 5 bits to 1 with added TITANIUM! so I guess thats been ruining my life for the last 11 weeks. Still, only an estimated 5 months until I can walk without a limp and 12 months until I can properly kneel on a knee without it HURTING LIKE HELL.

 

How in the name of Zeus' BUTTHOLE can you fail a THEORY test SIX TIMES?

 

When i done mine i revised on this site that had 8 example tests, i done them over and over again till i almost could do the test without reading the question fully.

47 of the answers and questions came up and i got all 47 correct the other 3 i had never seen before but they were really stupid.

As for hazard perception just look at it as if your driving my mate failed 3 times because he would click to many times somebody walking on the pavement is'nt necessarily a hazard unless they look like there walking out.


I would say you'll get it this time but i don't wanna jinx you

Nasty amounts of drugs to control this back pain. Hallucinate all night on them. And none of it is pleasant.

 

well it all started last year with a xfx 5870 that was doa and this xfx be 5970 has never run right, this rig has not been gaming either because it was bsodin a few times a day, i blamed everything but the 5970, fresh installs, drivers didn't make any difference, so it has taken a while.

everything is nice and stable now i have removed the 5970, oc'd a 6970, no issues, wished i sorted it sooner.

i think i am going to get a couple of asus top 670's

 

My Portal gun has gone "missing" in the hands of a courier
I had the email to say it had shipped a couple of weeks ago. Been waiting for it since but no sign of it. Chased it up with Play and they've looked into it and said it has got lost in transit. Got to wait until Wednesday now to find out what play are going to do about it but I suspect it'll be a refund
