My Galaxy Nexus needs to go back to O2 to be replaced due to a common charging problem. Why do I get the feeling I'm going to get a new one and the same thing happen 6 months down the line when it's out of warranty?

    Cats...

I love all animals and all but they can right bellends sometimes, saved a small blackbird from a attacking cat

So helpless it was too young to fly and was hopping around trying to get away he had no chance till i used my fists of fury to scare the cat away. RAWR!!

currently in the shed quite happy perched on a broom head

Will be calling the RSPCA tommorow for advice, with any luck they will come and help get him back on track

Not usually one for this kind of thing, but today has sucked for me.

Not a single family member remembered my birthday besides my mother. No card, no email or phone call of well-wishing. Nothing. 11 family members (aunts/uncles/cousins) who I'm in regular contact with and nothing. :(

That's pretty weak mate. I'm not a big one for celebrating anything, but if everyone forgot my birthday I think I'd be pretty pissed. :miffed:

My sole consolation is if I ever win the euromillions, they're not seeing a penny of it now. Which isn't much given family is supposed to be around for you through thick and thin. :sigh:

    Happy birthday!

Birthdays can mean totally different things to different people. It sucks when you're one of the people they're important to, but the other people in your life might not care about it, even when it's their own birthday like DP above.

I really like birthdays. It shows that the person you're congratulating is important enough to you to remember one small little bit of information about them and tell them about it once a year. That sounds like it isn't much but in practice remembering and then going about actually congratulating them even in some small way takes a fair bit of attention.

Indecision and a broken PC. I desperately need a new motherboard so I can actually put the second GPU back in and A; Clear some space on my desk, and B; get back up to full GPU power. Also a new mouse, because my current X-748K is really starting to die, on the flipside; i've just enough money to be able to buy a shiny new 670 and drop both 550's for sheer GPU awesomeness, but then I'm stuck with my absolutely borked mouse.

I need to return my GPU to scan... and I can't afford to send it to them... I'm also wary that if i send it back they'll say there's nothing wrong with it...

I am completely over the Apple vs Android thing now, after having spent the past 24 hours carefully setting up a fantastic Android phone for Mum with some fantastic features, I'm as convinced as ever that it's a brilliant OS and that Samsung make great phones to put it on. It's still not for me after almost 5 years of using an iPhone with iOS every single day (and my phone is well used, usage on it is a few hours per day) but that's only because I'm so used to the Apple device, use it for work and have spent hundreds of pounds on Apps for iOS. It has nothing to do with me thinking Android or the hardware it's run on is any worse than the Apple equivalent. People who argue about such things are unbelievably sad.

I would say to the people arguing in the comments section of that article; If you're not the writer of the article, you should have no interest in arguing about which is better. Pick the one you like best, use it, enjoy it and get on with your life.
