Other What's ruining your life right now?

Wife keeps trying to get me to root/flash her phones. I know nothing about them, I don't keep a phone, and the more she does it the less I want her to even carry the thing, as it's always up to me to do whatever she wants done to it. Next request, I'm going skeet shooting.

 

I favour SSDs for laptops (although your mention of M4s dropping dead has me worried, I've just bought one of them!) but I've gone back to traditional spinning drives for desktops now. My mobo (Gigabyte G1.Killer Guerilla, a desperation buy when my EX58-UD5 packed up) POSTs so slowly that any advantage I get from Windows booting faster is almost totally negated... haven't missed having an SSD. My ultraportable, on the other hand, runs like greased lightning with an SSD inside, it also helps to offset the anemic CPU (Intel CULV Pentium SU4100...) a little.

 

SCCM Servers... I had to rollback 2 weeks because the core files corrupted. Imaging a bunch of laptops and now I am behind.

 

I had to scrape some ice off the windscreen this morning. First time this season.

 

Me, myself and I. Felt a bit off all week. Being almost broke, unemployed and never hearing anything back from jobs that I apply for is getting me down.

Keep at it though something is bound to come along eventually, have you thought about getting temp work?

Around here there are places you can put your name down for temp work that can be like 2 weeks my friend done it during summer he could'nt get a full time job because he was going back but got a few weeks at a factory which helped keep him eating atleast.

I think all you need to do is put down the sort of things you could do (like lifting/painting/factory work)

Whats irritating me is i feel out of the loop....

Everybody has something to do with their time besides education and work.

Im not sure why i do it but i constantly go on facebook expecting to see something great but its always the same old crap, i need a project to occupy my time a little more, possibly some sort of charity work.

 

My advice would be dont look for it on facebook!! Thought of trying a sport? Badminton/ squash? Or perhaps bike riding ? you dont have to be any good and it gives you a target to improve at it.

Its what i do and i get addicted to becoming good at it!! My problem is that i dont have time to do it all!!

I should really just delete my facebook thinking about it im not sure why i look there for inspiration all my friends have turned into idiots since going to Uni, i do speak to a few girls on there though occasionally

I don't have alot of time really anymore but the my biggest hate is wasting a whole day doing nothing

 

Sports is a really good shout.
Not sure what I'm going to do this year, but after last year where I didn't sign up to much since people said how heavy the workload was and I got scared, I'm going to change it around.
Badminton and squash are high up on my list, both great games

 

When you've been doing a job voluntarily for some time and your employer says they need to make it a paid position, you interview, do superbly (by their own admission) and they give it to someone else... that makes you down.

 

Perfect day to paint, can't do so because tools are missing. Not just one, multiples.

 

Problems with internet connection, part of it is ISP's fault, but I believe that the RJ45 is damaged between router and switch somehow

I think it's time to run the cables inside the walls.

 

Stupid mobile i7 with 8gB ram limitation. The Comsol beast requires MORE!

not even allowed to check the box contents as the box is sealed with the tape "do not oped until purchase", it's a paradox: no returns if opened - do not open until purchase :-/

Claim it's faulty. Sure it's a bit of a fib, but on the back of such a large company, it's not going to hurt them too much.
