Kayin: I've followed the progress via your updates regularly but have not written before, I guess I thought another anonymous ''voice'' didn't matter. I can't think that now.

This ''end'' touched me deeply, having just had a new delivery only 3 weeks ago, I couldn't imagine the pain and anguish of losing her after so short a time. I'll admit, I shed a tear for you.

Deepest sympathies to you and yours through this hard time.

 

I think it's impossible to read something like that and not at least offer ones condolences.

It's a very human thing to feel sympathy in a scenario like this, and typing a few heartfelt words is free, but can make a big difference at the other end.

I welcome those offers which would celebrate my son's life. As the initial pain fades (to be replaced with a big numb hole, honestly) and I realize he could not have stayed long simply due to his body being unable to support him, some sort of peace is materializing. He loved us so much, and we loved him, and there's nothing better in this world. But he didn't want us to simply stop loving when he was gone. Now, I have to learn to give the rest of the world the kind of love he showed.

Grief shared is grief divided, but love shared is love multiplied. And I can do this kind of math.

 

Tried that, not allowed to talk to supervisors. I'll just get police involved if the old ISP doesn't stop their BS during next and final call.

 

My deepest condolences Kayin. He was a real fighter and I can only imagine that it's nice to know he's finally at such peace.

 

Not allowed? Bull. I work at a callcenter and if you just demand to speak with a supervisor or state that otherwise you will be forced to take legal action. The rule of thumb is, if someone is about to mention lawyers and stuff, better get the super in on it.

 

Again, I'm so sorry to hear about Snort's death, and the new year barely begun but it started off bad for you and your family, Kayin but it will get better now you know Snort is in Heaven watching over you and your family. You will see him again when your time is done on Earth. I was just told that the term "pass away" is just a bit too harsh, so we call it "Changing address from Earth to Heaven".

Scan processed my order and it was due tomorrow.
10pm I got an email saying they've run out of 7870's and the ETA on that is the 15th..
It'll have been a month since I ordered from scan if it arrives on the 16th.

Not happy.

Exact same thing happened to me.

So I cancelled the 7870 and the rest have been shipped now.

I went and ordered this, on free delivery. It'll still be here quicker and its a tenner cheaper, and the clock speed/ram is faster too, so should be a better card in the end hopefully.

I really dislike Scan at the moment and they didn't even offer an apology for the item being overallocated and their website showing it in stock when its not.

I still used them for this order for two reasons;

1) The free next day delivery deal I've got on my account, which saved me £16
2) I price-checked every single item on the order, and they were cheaper on it all - except
- i) the graphics card above which only went on a ebuyer deals after the price check
- ii) the keyboard and mouse which were only cheaper due to an Amazon lightning deal

Wallet and not service led the way on this one.

 

Yeah, I know its pure BS. Old ISP seems to think that their policies and contracts trump the law.

Made the call and got told that I'd have to pay the remainder of time left, no other option. Gave the option to follow easy way and go by what consumer protection law and consumer agency say or hard way. Old ISP chose latter so yes, its a police matter now.

 

Not really allowed music in the room I sit in at work, how the **** do people work in silence?!

Lady at the job centre yesterday told me to look for work outside London. I know what she means.

Been telling her I want to go to Australia but without any current income thats looking like a long shot now.

I was even turned down for a general Tesco's job.........................................................

So sorry to hear that Snort has passed on, he was a real trooper and I'm sure his fight encouraged others to keep fighting through their health.
