Other What's ruining your life right now?

well on the one hand I can see the benefit to taking medication to endure the depression, on the other hand though, I don't like the idea of being addicted to the meds, and not able to function without them, and in the event I miss collecting them ( through illness or something ) then I have to go cold turkey, and from what ive witnessed, going cold turkey on meds, is a lot worse than how I am when im not taking them...so its going to be one of those things I guess

 

Someone DDoSing my virtual server and especially the solution to this problem from provider (QuickWeb.co.nz) - they nullrouted my server... Well, they can say "Goodbye" to a customer who paid them 14€ every month for last 20 months, i am moving elsewhere as soon as possible. I won't mind the nullrouting itself, but not informing the customer that they did it is unacceptable.

 

What meds are you being prescribed? They aren't usually addictive or habit-forming, but going cold turkey is a REALLY bad idea. Best to just always have a minimum of a week's supply for emergencies.

It's a lot easier to arrange to have meds in supply than it is to deal without them, in my experience.

 

im not on meds at the moment, as I swore to a friend id never take anything and become dependant on them to function, and from my very limited knowledge of bpd, very little medication can affect it, only mood stabilizers and stuff like that can help a little, so I don't know whats going to happen or what they would prescribe to assist, but that should get sorted out in the next week, then I guess I gotta get my head in order, and try to mend some bridges...

also, I '''updated''' adobe flash, and now youtube doesn't work, facebook messages doesn't work, a mental health chatroom I frequent doesn't work, basically anything that uses flash, doesn't work at all anymore, and I tired updating 4 times today

There are a couple of people that get my train to and from work and we all sit close together. I constantly feel them looking at me hoping to start a conversation, not sure how much longer I can keep up the "headphones in and book out so **** off" look.

This is coming from a certified counselor as well as a sufferer of anxiety issues, severe depression, and PTSD-medication is not your enemy. It helps me immensely. Also, if you go on it, do not go off without a doctor telling you you can. You can quite literally die that way. Most of the time those meds are for life, but after a while on them they really do make a difference. I have no issue admitting that I have a condition for which multiple medications are needed to fully control (though the two I am on work beautifully) because it is an organic issue-it is not simply a bad way of thinking. It's a chemical imbalance, and so treating it should carry no shame.

If you want to talk, I'm always here. I would urge you to be open to the offers of medication-it's amazing how nice the world can really be.

 

two agencies went ahead and put me forward for the same role on the same day, needless to say this pissed off the studio and i got a flat out no.

they've been bollocked to contact me before they put me forward for any more roles.

 

I have an infection eating a hole in my left thigh, and possibly have contracted lyme disease. Fun.
