I actually get a buzz out of heights!

    This!

I've got 2 children and an amazing family and having seen the aftermath of one of our guys that nearly cut his own head off and only really being saved by the combination of celox and the air ambulance put me off really, Accidents happen in every industry but the chances of it being fatal in my industry working around 11,33,66,132kV live powerlines with chainsaws is much higher than most.

I shouldn't joke, but I'm picturing him chainsawing something, his phone ringing, and him reflexively attempting to answer the chainsaw. My Dad had an analogous experience when one of his old jobs offered him the opportunity to have a company helicopter instead of a company car; about a week earlier an executive from a competitor had been beheaded when the helicopter he'd just exited tipped onto its side.

You haven't found anyone the atavistic lizard throwback bit of your brain thinks you're more likely to be able to pass on your genes with. :thumb:

(Two months isn't that long in the context of an adult relationship, either. Finding someone you like more will make you happier and keep that bit of your brain quiet, too.)

Oh, I was with her for quite a while.

Its just two months since I've last spoken to her or seen her.

I took it upon myself to delete everything of her out of my life...

I feel like I should be over it, I went to a funeral of an old family friend the other day. The couple have been together for 60 years...And he just lost his life and was coping very well, and heres me distraught about my first love?...I wish I had the mentality of some other people sometimes.

Brosicle it's tough I know. I am still not over the girl that got away. And it has been years now since that happened.

It gets better is all I can say.

I hope it does Dom...I really hope it does..

I'm Skypeing this other girl later on this week...I just don't feel the same when talking to anyone of the opposite gender though. Its like I don't have that spark there like I did with the ex...And no, I am not becoming gay :duh:

My inability to forget ruins my life to the extent I have to have the same f@$%?ing repetitive conversation again and again with the same people at work to remain polite in their company! Although recently I started a new game where I add slight twists and variations to how the conversation went before.

Typical example is the 'do you have any kids?' conversation. Originally and and in reality I have none I'm aware of! About the fifth time I was asked by the same person it's escalated to 3 boys and 2 girls each with their own elaborate background story. Such is my working life! :D

Riding exercise bike in gym last night - got to approx 20 mins and coughed ..... kept coughing and coughing and coughing.

Finished session, went to showers - decided to spit and have a look see at what i was coughing up ...... blood.

Admitted to hospital immediately but they're scratching their heads atm as to the cause of the initial blood which has now stopped.

    1) A wire left in from my sternotomy has shifted due to weight loss and strenuous sustained exercise, this has poked a tiny hole in my lung and only under heavy inhalation does it leak and collect blood/plasma

    2) Small infection has caused a weakness in tissue somewhere and exercise caused it to fail.

    3) INR spiked high and reduced ability of blood to clot to dangerously low levels - causing the leak under exercise.

    4) *Insert theory here*

Waiting on a chest specialist to come have a look at me but INR is within normal range (on the low side though), chest x-ray comes up clear and no obvious infection shown, no spikes in temperature, no previous cough before last night......

Should all be ok though ............

Good that i'm in YDH and close to home, wife works across the road (can see her building from where i'm sat next to my ward bed), not so great that i'm in hosp again.

paid to have paintwork done on my car. looks like its the wrong bloody colour. gonna cost over a grand to put righttime will tell as ill have to wait until the rain stops to properly inspect it. They even said themselves the colourmatch was bad and they had to do quite a lot of blending.

Lesson learned NEVER do cash in hand jobs on cars.

Going cheap on a complex job only hurts the wallet more. Having said that one professional quoted me £3500 for a whole re-spray of Saab's standard 170c Black, which is as difficult to paint as transit white! lol! I asked for a price break down, and most of it was gas for his heaters the pikey git.

Needless to say I put off the job for a while longer, since it's at 180K I'll wait for 200K+ for a rebuild and paint.

No wonder I love making telemonkeys cry by being extremely foul-mouthed.
