Diesel is Devil spelt differently.

Looking at the 20k mark so quite new and low mileage. I do less than 5k a year as i live no more than 2 miles away from work.

 

Presumed blocked drain in the S's tonneau has soaked the carpet under the passenger's seat, completely frying the alarm/immobiliser module which is helpfully situated there, putting an expensive electronic system sensitive to water in what must be the lowest part of the car (great thinking, Porsche).

Net result - alarm going haywire, rear control units jammed (spoiler permanently raised, roof unresponsive, brake and reverse lights permanently illuminated) and worst of all, with the car unable to tell if the roof's up or down, permanently lowered windows - letting in even more f***ing rain! Having pulled fuses and disconnected the battery before it shorts and the car burns to the ground, I close with this:

I'm not a violent man but I do hope that the designers of the 986 all get burgled tonight, so they too can enjoy duct-taping binbags over windows that won't close, at 3AM, in a thunderstorm.

 

Dang Silver, that sucks big time.. They seriously need to think about the customer instead of their pockets.. they should send you a replacement part for your car fast! Free too!

 

Waiting for the train. 37C outside, train delayed by 88 minutes according to the online tracking. And it is getting delayed by more and more every minute...

The next train (one which should start 2 hours after it) managed to accumulate 6 minutes of delay in first 15 minutes since it got departed from the station it starts from.

Edit: in 10 minutes it gone up to 94 minutes

 

Oh gods, the cat's been for a crap again. I know what she eats as I'm the one who feeds her but it never ceases to amaze me that something vaguely meaty smelling goes in one end and the stuff of hades itself comes out the other.

I can't even begin to describe the stench that is filling the entire house at the moment, i seriously don't know how something so sweet, gorgeous and fluffy can produce something so hellish.

And the quantity!! Oh dear Odin, the sheer volume of turd that cat lays is phenomenal, it's a tray-full every day, she doesn't even eat enough to be able to produce that much.

I have to try and avoid walking through this sort of filth from four cats every time I get out of the car at our holiday place, hence my harsh post about killing them in the "Damn Cats!" thread.

 

Ended up being 94 late on arrival, 101 minutes late at departure from the station i was going from, i reached my final station 113 minutes late (final station of this train was reached 130 minutes late)! On top of that, the air conditioning was not working in this Eurocity class train, which is a pretty big problem as this class is designed for air conditioning, that means only very small windows to open if AC goes down. So i had a 1,5 hour long sauna in the train, then was waiting 10 minutes for public transport in the sauna outside (37C here today), then was in bus sauna for next 20 minutes (because it doesn't have AC).

In other words, i want this bloody summer to end, it is killing me, and tomorow they say it is going to reach 40C+ before dropping down to 25C on Tuesday .

 

ROFL, that's made my evening by far!

I just walked through some on my way into the garage and walked it all over the garage floor before I realised it was on my boots, so I had to spend half an hour scraping it off my boots and the garage floor, then washing the garage floor with disinfectant, because I'm going to be kneeling and lying on the ground in there when I'm working at the car later.

I swear, the next time I come here, I'm bringing my air pistol and they're getting shot. I've had enough of this ********.

 

I must admit though, despite the picture above, the deterrant is working fine. I highly recommend one, although, young children and young adults can hear it too. The cat no longer sits on the drive, under the car or on the doorstep so i'm quite happy.

(Sorry. I've gone a bit more insane than usual today)

 

Poor hardrives in my server are cooking at 50C, but what can i do when outside temperature is 35C or more ?

 

That temp is good for them. I'm not kidding. Cooling them too much kills them, there's a nice paper from Google's datacenters about it.

 

I've ordered a Contech Scarecrow to set up where they come in most often, behind our oil tank. I'll move it around a couple of times so they hopefully get scared to even come over the fence in future. If that doesn't work, it's the gun for them.

 

^Get a BB ( airsoft ) gun- non-lethal deterrent & you don't give the rest of the air-gunning community a bad name ( the Scottish government are trying to bring in licensing for airguns- currently being fought extremely vigorously.... ).

 

Android 4.3 update and discovering quite a few apps of mine haven't been updated.
