Now as for you inviting her to something and her being underage..well it's up to everyone else to decide if you have alterior motives.

EDIT: Also, as someone who has had a 16 year old sister lemme tell you, they are bloody infuriating. Chances are this girl will be nothing but trouble anyways. Your 20 years old, they'll be plenty more ***** to come.

 

Well see that's the problem. Now I am fine with being friends with her. I think it's good to have some female friends to hang out with. But if there was a chance that one of these girls I know would be interested in dating or something, why not go for it, right?

But because I'm such a n00b, I cant tell if a girl is just being a friend or if she might be wanting something more.

So that's why I asked if there was a way I could tell if she was, because I really don't think I should be going after someone who is 16. It would look bad and would probably end bad if she wasn't interested at all.

And because I live so far away there is no way it wont look obvious/suspicious unless I go out with her and a group of people.






Oh and not sure if I mentioned this, but one of the big reasons I've been thinking about this is because of how my sister has been teasing me about talking to her on FB. So it got me thinking, why is she bugging me about this? Is she just doing it to bug me or does she think this girl likes me or vice-versa?

 

First of all, if it was my 16 year old sister and some 20 year old dude showed up, I would kindly ask him to GTFO. And then I would have a serious discussion with her.

For the other part, I think you are overanalysing this. You can't just "tell" if a girl likes you, it's a question of getting to know each other and every time you spend time with them you learn it a bit more. So get your a-hole in gear and do something!

No, don't take this the wrong way. Invite her out, see how it goes, if she really feels for it and you do too. You'll end up meeting her parents and that is where it might get a bit tough but if they can see that she is happy, they'll probably let you stick around

What has been ruining my life recently? Work, bigtime. Made the mistake of accepting a job offer from a good friend (known for 8 years) and since starting the job back in December our friendship has become almost non-existent. She is the manager of the place and has an awful lot of stress that she can't deal with it. Staff always break the rules whenever she isn't there. Making personal phone calls on the work phone, stealing food, having family members in the restaurant out of hours, taking smoking breaks too often. They have no respect for any of the managers, but she won't do anything about it. She seems to find it easier to take things out on me rather than other staff due to her knowing me and how I'll react. Anything goes wrong, it's my fault. Any other staff members doing something wrong on a shift I'm also working? My fault again. I'm not even a manager.. just a staff member.

If I was working for somebody I didn't know then I would have jacked the job in a while ago. But I still care about her and I know that if I did leave the place it would cause so many problems as most of the staff are lazy and treat her with complete disrespect.

Never ever ever work with family members or friends.

 

I tried working for my cousin for about 2 weeks, a year and a half ago. He treated me like crap so I quit. Since then I have had no more than 5 conversations with him. And he lives maybe 10-15 minutes from me. Doesn't bother me too much.

Maybe you need to have a long chat with your friend and tell her how you feel. It would probably be better for everyone if you did. Good luck with whatever you choose to do about it though.

You didn't mention that you travel 1.5 hours to go shooting, and that she is one of the hot girls there, who seems to like you.

So yes, asking her towards the end of shooting, if she wants to get some kfc, or whatever, or a movie, etc, IS JUST HANGING OUT ffs!!!!!
