Is it legal to charge VAT on nothing? There was no import fee or anything.

"Your computer was unable to start"

Now going through an endless cycle of startup repair trying and failing to recover the situation.

This after trying to shrink my C: drive in preparation for cloning it onto a new ssd.

Teach me not to have backups...

Paypal... bunch of expletives that they are...

They've blocked my account because I had the audacity to use it a whole twice in the same day... The the only way they'll unblock it is if I send them a copy of my driving licence...

'help us protect you from ID theft'... by providing us with everything we'd need to steal your ID... **** that...

I had £28 worth of import tax and handling duty to pay on 2 DVDs that I bought from the states...They where not even commercial DVDs it was from a crowd funded film project.

They arrived in paper sleeves and an airmail envelope.

It even clearly said the duty had been paid when they handed it over! I was ****ing livid! I demanded a refund and the woman behind the counter closed the shutter and said I'd need to fill out a claim form if I didn't like it. She then walk off and left me standing there...

Best part is the DVD's had cost me $15 so I ended up almost paying triple!

They seem to apply a blanket charge to everything, its not like I'd imported a whole case of the latest blockbuster film to sell down the market.

Odd indeed, used Paypal multiple times in a single day on several occasions without issue.

Ebuyer used to drive me nuts holding up deliveries with their "security checks" though.

Went to stop my niece from running full pelt into the table and pulled the damaged muscles in my shoulder (again) and it's gone from being actually ok, to being bloody sore again.

Any idea how long a soft tissue injury normally takes to heal?

I'm so close to walking out of work with a f u to this team leader it is unreal.

The way I see any managerial role is lead by example. This team leader does the minimal possible and frankly im at the end of my tether.

There are no other roles locally within the same company. I might have to look elsewhere. As I have had enough.

Not to mention shifts that dont follow each other. I have tonight/tuesday off. Back in Wednesday. Making Tuesday a wasted day.

First full day in my new job; fired at the end of it.

I'm pretty sure that the reason I got fired was just a case of the Charge-hand watching over the line seeing that I was in the wrong place at the wrong time too often. Then he had to find someone to pin all of the delays and issues on the line on, I was a pretty obvious choice considering that I didn't know anyone on the line previous, whereas a good 70% of everyone on site had met or were friends through some route or another.

Either way; I worked a grand total of 14 hours (Two hours on Monday, after the Induction, then 12 today) before getting fired. That's gotta be a new record of some kind of job turnover.

Probable water pump failure on the Beat.

Labour costs could turn out to be insane and I want to get new piston rings anyway; can't afford to do that now so it's probably coming of the road for six months.
