I haven't carried cash round in quantities like that since i cut back on my drinking, particularly post-work drinks.

I've had a stunning headache since about 2am. Made it into work thankfully but boy am i tired.

Then I get told an item I sold to someone here is broken. I never used the flash on the camera because I thought I did not know how to get it to open up, hence me selling it. So I am taking the camera back refunding the money not knowing how to fix the camera or even how to use. So one 400D camera going in the bin. What an utter c**p day today. Should have rather have gone to work and worked seven days.

    So so unhappy

You could always get the camera repaired, Kov? Shouldn't be too pricey?

...backups?! I mean, Magento, fairly serious undertaking so you do have backups, right?

Chronic health conditions, mostly. I don't think things are going to improve. I would love to retire, but I haven't got the funds for it.

Just spoken to the canon boys. Apparently when someone uses a external flash it turns off the pop up flash where the switch is situated under the shoe of the external flash. The camera is arriving tomorrow so will have a look then.

Kov, do NOT bin the 400D. It is 100% repairable. I'm even fairly certain I can do it.

Kov mate, as long as its not giving an error or making a funny noise I reckon the external flash switch is in the wrong position.

Look at the flash shoe at the top of the camera, flick the switch using a pen (be gentle) and all should be sorted.

P.s the flash might only pop up when in one of the auto modes (tv for example). In Manual mode you have to select flash yourself.

Just been told by a client that "their" payment terms are 60 days after the month end of an invoice date....what the hell? That equates to payment 85 days after the invoice. Thank you for screwing this quarter's cashflow. Talk about screwing the little guys.....

Not sure where you live but the small business I used to work for it is common practice for large companies to pay 60 to 90 days after the invoice is submitted. I know it sucks but unfortunately that is the way it is done.

Seriously debating putting my shitty situation on here not sure anyone wants to hear it but I could be urged to vent.

I can believe that. It's still friggin' annoying and makes little sense to me.

As for your situation - hope it's solvable. :thumb:

Please put on your invoice YOUR payment terms. ie. Payment must be made within 30 days of date on invoice. Via BACS, Cheque etc. Send the Invoice RECORDED and mention it to them at some point.

    Works for me.

From my one module of business management last year I thought that was pretty standard :p (not amazing, but not crazy)

Mech that's partially what this thread is for, a chance for people to let it out (and who knows, maybe someone can help :) )
