I actually meant speak to them about the fact you feel you're not being listened to and/or not receiving feedback on them, if they are discarded or in the works but noone has told you.

No I didn't infer you were a troll. I called you out as a green eyed troll, no inference at all ;)

Look for a job at a third place. Use your 3x salary offer from your previous employer as negotiation leverage. There, no more thinking over Christmas.

I passed up a wee shindig in Manchester with my pals, who have just stumbled on Tim Burgess and Bernie Sumner gigging in Exchange Square.

    :(

Cleaned my windows though, which is nice.

I'm on the verge of having to sell my PC [again] just so i can not starve or freeze to death and you're telling me 'cheer up! it's Christmas!...'

do **** off... oh and repay the money you owe me... but oh no, I forgot, you're skint... skint because you've just bought a 4k tv...

Not fun. I've spent a long time with people taking advantage of me. It's simply not cool.

Hope things improve for you buddy.

    I've been really unwell.

A couple of months ago I was put on a regime of pills, which included my existing meds (Seroquel or Quetipine) as well as Pregabalin (Lyrica) and Citalopram for my anxiety. The Seroquel is for the bipolar.

Any way I started on 10mgs of Citalopram and was OK. A bit of teeth grinding and clenching but as an Aspie I do that a lot any way (I'm a bit of a biter).

So I've felt OK. The Citalopram eventually reached the maximum dosage of 40mg. That's when things started to go bad. I started losing it and having quite bad manic bouts. They steadily got worse and eventually I spent the evening convinced that I could break free of my own body and get out. Last week it was so bad that I was literally pulling my face as hard as I could trying to pull the skin off. My lady called my support worker (who is also my doctor of psychiatry) and he came out. I was given enormous doses of anti psychotics (twice a day, so I'm pretty zombied up atm) and have slowly started to feel better.

It's funny, because I had all but waved goodbye to chronic mania (I still sit around clapping and making silly noises but am quite in control of myself) but this latest bout of it scared the absolute **** out of me. It's got to be the worst manic phase I've had in five years.

The Citalopram was identified as the probable culprit but I can't just stop taking it as it will cause withdrawal that would probably make me suicidal. Ahhh, the blessings of being mentally screwed.

Any way, I end this on a nice note. Every day when you wake up thank whatever you believe created you for the chance to see and live out another day. Hug those you love, thank the powers that be for your health.

Have a wonderful Christmas all :)

    AA

That's why we are about to drive a little further than usual and find a supermarket out of the way for the few bits we need for the next week

Type I or II? I was diagnosed as Type I about 3 years ago and it was a massive shock at the time - I remember feeling totally overwhelmed but was lucky to have the support of an amazing gf (now wife) and a great diabetic nurse too. I found writing down questions to ask her was a real help - helped empty some crap out of my mind too. My main advice is to not let it take control of your life - find a way to control it and fit it around your life. I also found talking to other people with diabetes helped too - if you have any questions you want to ask me, I'd be more than happy to try and help :)

I've been diagnosed type 2 for almost 6 years and have gone from a year of diet controlled to metformin and then onto metformin and gliclazide. With type 2 it's just a matter of working with your GP to find out what works for you. Ask you GP about the Juggle course as well. It's a 4 session course about symptoms, medication, complications and appropriate eating (not i didn't say healthy eating as the traditional notion of healthy eating might not be right)

Now you have been diagnosed there will be a few changes in terms of medical checks through the year, you are entitled to a single yearly sight check on the NHS, please use it. You will also have a retinopathy check once a year where they photograph the backs of your eyes. You will also be called in for a flu shot around september.

There will be changes but it's far from the end of your world, read up on stuff but be careful where you get your information from. Some places will make you feel like it's the end of all civilization and you can never have fun again (the forums at diabetes.co.uk are one of these places).

Anything you want to know, just shout

This morning at 7 before I left for work I put my new slow cooker on low and threw in the ingredients for a curry. I won't be home until 10pm, yes I'm currently kacking my pants on returning home to see the result.

When it comes to slow cookers I have one word for you: Brisket.

That stuff is just meant for low and slow and you end up with the most beefy tasting beef in the world.

Not life ruining in the slightest but highly annoying. Pizza hut turned up 45 mins late lacking an item on my order and an almost stone cold pizza to boot. Called the local branch up about 20 mins ago and a new pizza and the missing item is supposedly on its way.

Edit: Replacement pizza has arrived, lovely and hot along with missing item. Grumpyness level lowered.

That is one of the reasons I don't use Pizza Hut or Dominos, as they are always late and always miss something of the list of stuff I order.

I now use Sizzle Inn in Warrington as the Pizza's are not only cheaper but allot bigger as well.

I hope you are not paying for any of it.

This is the first time I've ordered with Pizza Hut for about a year and the first problem I've had with either them or Dominoes. I've got a little takeaway near me that does by one get one free on their square pizzas that have been consistently excellent since I've been going to them but fancied PH's cheesy bites pizza tonight.

I don't sound the least bit threatening on the phone so I consider the replacement pizza and the missing item consolation really. I know I should have asked for a partial refund but the second delivery guy said they we're really busy tonight and was rather apologetic so I'll let it slide tonight. Besides, the other half and I were hungry :hehe:
