I am asking myself the same thing, especially considering how much I suck at it

 

well today hasnt really been a whole lot better and im still rather annoyed if not pissed off.


ima either just go out with other people tonight or just stay here and rest all evening, cause im not gonna go out with the people i have been the past 2 days.




also even though i won a bunch of awards today (will post them in another thread later) I still didn't shoot very good and I am soooo exhausted now. Shooting in 30C+ weather outside wearing heavy shooting jacket and pants and sweater is just OMGWTF soooo hot!!!

got all my shooting clothes airing out and hope they dry enough for tomorrow. will not be much better. i hope it rains tonight so i maybe cools down a little.

 

I think the tube in my TV's goin. Its a 29" Sony nicam stereo CRT I bought new from Comets about 12 years ago for £500.

The colours in the picture are bleeding around objects making it look sometimes like i'm watching a programme in 3D ( the red/cyan type ).

I think its going to go completely soon. I haven't upgraded sooner because I think TV's rubbish and I spend more time on my computer anyway.

 

I am struggling to find IT based work in Peterborough, starting to think that it wasn't worth doing a degree. Job centre tomorrow for an interview and to complete my application for job seekers, I feel like such a scumbag for signing on even though this is what it is for.

My current plan is job seekers for no more than 2 months, then I will settle for a "normal" job and continue looking for IT or just move somewhere that has got jobs.

At least I don't have anyone to support and I am at home, guess I am lucky compared to some.

 

Sounds like the colors are going out of sync Erratum1.

There's one or two sets of three knobs/variable resistors on one or two of the circuit boards inside the tv. When there are two sets, usually one of them are for fine tuning the colors or horizontal and vertical adjustments. They're all usually labeled with R, G, or B, sometimes H-R, V-R for horizontal and vertical, etc.

You just need a preferably large mirror, and to use a well insulated electrician's screwdriver, which has an insulated shaft - I wouldn't try to adjust the knobs with my fingertips, I'd want to keep my hands away from the TV chassis, which is usually live = lethal high voltage and high current potental. You also need a bit of care to not short circuit anything inside the tv, only touch the plastic knobs with the screwdriver tip.

The tube is charged with a high voltage, around ~30kv+, but it's low current, just like car spark plug coils.

 

I think it's time for me to give up on everything. I've put so much frickin effort into this crap and I get NOTHING in return.

My uni results were not good enough to get me into the final year so am now a dropout.

got 3 weeks to find a job so i can keep a roof over my head

I also had to 'quit' my chemistry class because I was inevitably going to fail

I'm also sick of my crappy LG Rumour but getting any smartphone would equal in a few hundred dollars investment... which I am not sure is worth it (but boy do I have my Rumour)

I am tempted by the Nexus One and disgusted by its price at the same time ...
