I'm starting to be so drunk it requires actual focusing to read the forums. Who's fault is this?!?!? I demand someone to blame!

I hate having reasons to post in this thread but I've been experiencing sleep paralysis more and more lately. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, last night I had a dream about having sleep paralysis. That's right, a dream about having dreams :/

Hateful though the meme may be, I had no choice. It took all of my powers not to fill the page with Inception memes.

I set my RepRap to print a large and detailed T-rex skull last night before going to bed - a lengthy ~8hour print that should turn out gorgeous (the lower jaw came out awesome). And the machine printed well for quite a few of those eight hours, but then - WHAM! At some point in the final 45 minutes or so catastrophic extruder failure!

I might be able to fix it (and I do have a new and better direct drive extruder in the works but I am awaiting the delivery of some crucial parts before I can have that one up and running) and I was really looking forward to having that T-rex skull as a showpiece in my office. I'll be tinkering with it tonight I suppose... but damn; all that wasted filament!

Nobody should ever suffer catastrophic extruder failure.

That gave me a good chuckle when I needed it, well done.

Speak for yourself; I keep mine well groomed. :D

That is brilliant! You're right, I definitely need one of these!
Until now I've been using scrap and failed prints to make ABS juice, but it is piling up - I have amassed a rather large collection of calibration pieces. It would be awesome to be able to recycle the lot into new filament.

I did not think that sentence in that context could be misunderstood, but to ease your concern (and to keep talking about my balls) I can confirm; I was indeed referring to my roe bags.
