Other What's ruining your life right now?

I was just finishing up at the gym and on the way to the showers, when I caught my reflection in one of the mirrors.

I've put on so much weight since my wedding, it's gone from mildly amusing to "what the hell have I done to myself".

I know being back at the gym is the first start, and seeing the image today will only help drive me further, but it's still not pleasant to look at.

 

Next time you're passing, take a snap, then stick it to the fridge door when you get home.

 

My connection is so poor, after paying for the Vita version of FF VIII yesterday afternoon, it's only 471mb of 1840. 22 hours later.

I loved FFVIII, one of the most underrated titles.

My favourites are VIII, IX, IV and VII respectively. Everything after IX is utter rubbish.

 

I tried that too, best speed estimate was 6 hours at that speed. May have to hit up the father-in-law, hate him though I do...

 

I always found VII to be overrated. Don't get me wrong, I loved the game, i just thought it was overhyped most of the time.

VIII was a great game, still one of my favourites, but IX will always, always be my absolute favourite (Vivi 4 Life!)

after getting wrongfully dismissed from my job last month my plans for Animalhead have ground to a financial halt, and i cant even take the **** to court thanks to the bullshitery set in place by our wonderful coalition government.

My uncle killed himself on Friday. I am not sure how I feel tbh, we had been estranged from the majority of that side of the family due to politics, so I don't think I saw him in nearly 4/5 years but my Mum always hoped to bring us all back together eventually. She is really struggling and I'm feel guilty for not feeling anything.

 

game studios wont touch me as I dont have 5 + years experience in any field, that and im promoting some pretty radical business policies/ethics with Animalhead that wont win me any fans with the old established order.

 

You don't need to feel guilty, your relationship with him is what it was. If that means you didn't feel any particular attachment then that is how it is.

You can't heal your Mum's pain, you can only try and make the other aspects of her life as easy as you can while she deals with it.

Suicide is a strange thing to deal with. My brother attempted something once and it poses a lot of questions, about the past and the future. I hope everything works out ok for your family.

 

I still think that VII is better than anything after IX. It's all rubbish and I hate the way Square Enix is heading with the series.
