A week or two back I bit my cuticle down on my right middle finger, it got infected.

Swelled up a bit, has bled/leaked every other day or so - But my finger got really warm compared to the rest, so using a metal mousemat in winter wasn't so bad.

It's cleared up, swelling's down, and my finger is the same temperature as the rest. Mousemat sucks again :(

Eating my dinner late last night and having Acid reflux burn all up my throat. Managed to tame my stomach by 02:45 but up again at 06:00 for work. Never eating late again!

Cheers Scroome I will have to give them a try. I take omeprozle in the morning which keeps the GERD at bay through the day. In the evening I alway pop a 75mg Ranitidine tablet just to be safe. But I ate my dinner at 9:30 last night and hit the sack at 11 which is just to late for me.

i went airsofting in Derby CQB

all was going well until some bright spark threw a flashbang down the stairs i was coming up, it basically went off in my face, causing a combined autistic sensory overload and a panic attack ( first time ive ever had both simultaneously
the whole night is a complete blur where i can hear people talking, but it sounds like a different language while im underwater... i couldnt even string a sentence together. i was found at the safe zone curled up shaking uncontrollably

I moved my office around a couple of weeks ago to make more space in my small room and to make sitting at my computer a bit more comfy, but today my roof has just started to have a small leak directly above where I have moved my PC... :wallbash:

Hopefully the landlord will come out sooner rather than later to take a look at get it sorted, as I'm now having to keep a towel on my desk to stop the droplets of water from splashing all over my monitor and keyboard.

I've had a similar sounding thing this week and last week, was sick completely out of the blue last week and this week I just feel completely drained and out of sorts with a sore throat and random headaches...

Same, though the headaches have passed. I'm actually eating and doing stuff again, but this sore throat / cold wont piss off. Also, more and more snow / incoming wet snow. I'll probably end up helping to shovel it, despite being sick.

New issue, going over some online math aptitude tests for an upcoming assessment, my god, I've forgotten all of this! Still have time to study, but this is going to stress me out.

    Some f***er keyed my car.

I don't know why but that just sends me into a frothing rage. There is nothing worse than being impossibly angry and having no appropriate outlet for it.

Murderous rampage across North India? It might seem overkill, but there's a small chance that the perpetrator might be one of your victims.

Tooth repair on Friday has cracked and now moving about slightly not sure whether to leave it or just pull it out. Its going to come out eventually but I can't decide whats more annoying the wobbling or missing half a tooth.

Have it yanked out, it's just not worth the money in repeated repairs and pain, knowing it'll need fixing every 5-8 years anyway ( such is the nature of dental fillings ). I had a lower right molar removed and I feel a lot better for it- I can also drink through a straw with my teeth together, which is cool :D

That's against the rules. My thoughts on the subject are pretty identical to those of Mr Vincent Vega:

The festering shithole I call Dartmouth, where the jobs are mainly seasonal, there is nothing to do for real entertainment if you live here ( a single, 1 screen cinema, and too many pubs for entertainment ), and the shops all cater for the tourists; nothing but wall to wall art galleries, designer clothes shops/boutiques, interior design shops ( filled with chrome plated or flower painted furniture & ornaments ), and too many super markets for such a small population ( a large Lidls and Sainsburys at the edge of town, an M&S and Co-Op in the middle of town, plus 2 Spar shops ).

It used to be such a happy place when I was young, loads of great, privately owned shops catering to all sorts of needs, the main annual event was the Regatta with great air displays and fairground, but now it's just over crowded due to a massive expansion of the council estate ( basically the top part of town is housing, down town is housing and businesses ) but no new shops or jobs to facilitate an increased populous- most of the good shops are long gone and replaced with all the aforementioned tourist shops.

There was a good article about the massive number of second homes/holiday homes in the local paper recently- one old couple were interviewed and said that all the houses apart from theirs is now a holiday home that sits empy 6+ months a year, but a decade or so ago they were all filled with families and couples. You get a few months of manic activity in the summer when the sun comes out and all the tourists descend ( and second home owners ), then the rest of the year the town struggles to be worth visiting, trying to bring in the crowds with things like the music festival ( = all the scum from neighbouring towns arrive, everyone gets drunk and fights, its a tradition... ), and the food festival where expensive restaurants get even more pricey for 1 week and food tents appear everywhere with celeb chefs putting on demos.

A wonderful new 'thing' the local council ha dreamed up is a magic 'tax' on all businesses that is used to promote Dartmouth across the country as a good place to visit. Oddly enough very few businesses want any part of it, but they have no choice but to pay into the fund, lest they get a massive fine. Disgusting really. No need to mention the crazy rent prices businesses have to pay already and are struggling to make ends meet since we are indeed, very seasonal and rely on the few months of summer to make maybe 708-% of the annual income.

    I should move... :worried:

Jeez it's all go in Dartmouth lol. As much as I would like to suggest Newton, I can't! I'll say this about newton though......it's the only place I have lived with a bypass that runs through it.

    There is always Totnes ;)

Yup, here in Pateley Bridge the problem is the same, North Yorkshire Dales, beautiful place, half empty high street and of the ten houses around me I have four neighbours.

Also, a Supermarket bought a local business a couple of years back, then the newsagent, then the post office, then a couple more shops with desirable contracts like Lottery or Paypoint. Now they're expanding their first building and the whole town is in denial that they won't immediately close down the other four shops and fire three quarters of the employees once they have the space to move everything valuable under one roof.

While I'm at it, EA, Origin, Battlelog and Battlefield's ridiculous number of bugs. Launching a game should not be this stressful!

Newton is a nice town in terms of layout and location, but it isn't all that exciting and I get the feeling there isn't much to do for entertainment either- luckily it's sandwiched between various other places so you can escape easily :D Dartmouth is the asscrack of the southwest in terms of location and everything else- Totnes is hippy central, probably why my Mum moved there, lol. Another lovely town to explore but not too much to do if you live there. Maybe I should emigrate...

It's wrong but i've been feeling sorry for myself lately.

I'm a stay at home dad - a reasonable and very normal thing nowadays. I do like doing it and I love being around the children, there's just some things that really get me down.

    • I have no male friends that will spend any time with me, since I always have children around me, 24 hours a day.
    • Going to children's groups is really horrible because I'm normally the only male there. I get people speaking behind my back, whispering and horrible glares. It's like i'm on their turf.
    • The children are always there; like all of the time. I can't even go to the toilet without my one year old following me around.
    • There is no sex, period.
    • Cleaning the entire house and then doing the same thing again tomorrow. And then the day after. IT. NEVER. ENDS.
    • The missus doesn't really appreciate it. I don't know if it's universal or just her, but she doesn't. I've never worked full time, only temp and part time jobs, so the shoe has never been on the other foot.

There are a few positives. I've gone down two jean sizes from walking everywhere and almost continuously being on my feet. I think thats it.

P.S. I can only make this post because my youngest is taking a nap. It is the only time in the whole day I really get anymore.
