Yeah, I hope so buddy. It's not really anything new, but definitely the busiest period of 2015 so far. It's getting to me more now than ever because I'm run down at the moment, and this whole situation with my friend has been stressing me out since she told me about it.

It's more than being concerned for the well-being of her and the kids at this point, the more I hear the more I'm beginning to get angry about it because he obviously doesn't appreciate (dare I say love) them or know how lucky he is to have them.

As for coffee... I brought my refined sugar intake to zero "cold turkey" at the start of this week, so my 3-4 cups per day have been very different. I'm getting used to it though!

It is a tricky situation with your friend, all you can do is listen and give moral support. At the end of the day only she can fix the problem and unfortunately the right decision is often the hardest.
I would do your best to put it out of your mind for the other 23hrs of the day unless your like me who "worries" far too much. (I'm still annoyed at the bloke who blew his horn at me even though he pulled out on me at 4am this morning)

I don't know what you work as but if your self employed like me even though I'm stupidly busy and works coming from everywhere, it does mean I can start thinking about sticking my prices up.

Black coffee for me (I'm so sick of coffee....)

In a nutshell, yeah I am

You're right though, I just wish there was more I could do.

Two for two :thumb: I'm a part time school IT Technician by day, full time self employed Electronic, Network & IT Engineer by day and night and live sound/lighting tech at the weekends which is also day and night :)

I've already had to increase service charges to cover my higher overheads, mostly diesel which my van is drinking a serious amount of at the moment. I mentioned that my week's mileage would be 800 by this Sunday (since last Sunday). Forget about it, I'll hit that tomorrow!

There is a limit to the endurance of the human body my friend. I know from experience that the mind and body can be willing but the latter can damage itself trying to deliver expectations of the former.

Appreciate the help GMC, they provide the training internally. Apparently, people who are part of the program who can't be placed are just promoted to teachers, so they just use premade slides and give you the book. I talked to my parents, did more research and it's too sketchy. My parents have been very understanding and supportive, and we all agreed it would be best to let this pass. A terrible 2 year contract with the threat of the $30k training isn't worth it. No overtime, pretty bad pay, and the company expects you to jump / relocate without assistance.

Edit: They even want a credit check and won't hire you if you don't agree to it. Never heard of any jobs requiring a credit check, and that's what made my parents concerned / led me to start doing some research.

A friend of mine said his company is going to have a maternity leave contract opening up in April and he can get me an interview, so I'll see if I can succeed with that.

In the UK, most jobs that involve financial services will ask for a credit search.

It's pretty much become the norm in Europe.

Essentially so that they don't end up hiring someone with £200k of gambling debts who them embezzles funds to pay off their creditors whilst feeding their insatiable desire to lose more money?

    Yeah, pretty much.

But as I mentioned in an another thread, I went insolvent in my early twenties.

I got my act together and run my credit perfect, but because the record stays on your account for 6 years, it was real tough changing jobs for me, as I'm primarily in the financial services industry.

Yeah, it was my fault and I freely admit that, but being punished for 6 years in an industry you work for is tough going.

    Trousers demote

Been shopping for clothes and had forgotten that although Next & Gap are fine for them, M&S (looking just in case of anything I liked, nothing...) no longer stock 30" waists as there is little demand for them.
They can be ordered online along with large waists (48"+ I think) considered outside the 'normal' range.
I know I'm not a big guy, but feel like I'm living outside the Bell Curve (or well into the lower tail!) with my waist size.

I HATE clothes shopping, specifically jeans. I've learned I fit into large shirts, but if fitted I need to go up a size. Regular sweat pants, etc, I'm a large, but jeans, EVERY DIFFERENT PAIR FITS DIFFERENT! One pair can be 38 waist, one can be 40. The struggle of trying to find jeans that are decently fitting without being stupidly baggy is ridiculous.

Does the store list what sort of cut the jeans are? Straight, regular, bootleg? I'm just wondering if the cut is a factor in the size disparity.

The cut does change the fit. Bootcut is a bit more fitted in the thighs and tappers and widens at the bottom, etc. Relaxed have a bit more room in the thighs. It's just funny because I had 2 pairs of bootcut jeans from American Eagle, both the same size, and one fits, the other doesn't. Only difference is the "style" so to speak.

If this close friendship is ruined beyond any repair then I would say lay your cards on the table, talk to her straight up about it. If she cares for you even as a friend she'll take you seriously.

I've been that person. I've had the friend who I had a crush on and been a coward, realistically for me friends and romantic interests can never and will never again mix.

If I had a friend I had a serious attraction or crush on I could never look at them again as a friend (consider them bringing the boyfriend along) it's just not worth that pain.

By all means if you see no romantic future and you're happy as friends try your best to mend those bridges, if she's been a true friend she'll probably understand

An advertised job I had an interview for last week ended up being a "potential" job at the end of their ******** (and expensive) training program.

guy couldn't grasp the concept of being called arsehole and having someone demand their CV back.

Up to eight inches of snow predicted for a place that usually gets none. This will not end well.

Currently waiting on the BLP certificate for the final bit of buying my first house.

Was told the last fittings were being delivered on monday and the Certificate was going to be issued yesterday. Today I get a call saying the fittings didn't arrive on monday and still have not arrived, So I currently am getting really annoyed as This should have been finished over a week ago.

I am also a bit on edge as due to my old contract for my current flat I have to give x ammount of notice, Now I have got untill the 18th of march to move and the delays that keep popping up are really doing my head in as theres actually half a chance everything might just screw me over at this point. But the fact that I cant seem to get a real answer for how long its going to take is really doing my head in. The people I am buying the house from say once the certificate is issued it should take 2 days to complete after that... My solicitor seems to disagree massively with that estimate of time.

Im doing all I can, I have got everything done I can do my end e.g house insurance is done, My deposit is already in the solicitors account So I don't need to worry about that and short of ringing power and utilities I am ready.
