    It's funner than that.

    1. Search for a store on Google (I used Farnell because we buy from them for work)
    2. First result (marked "AD") loads fine.
    3. Second result linking to SAME web address is blocked! :wallbash:

Of the two (other) competent people I work with with, one is leaving to do LIDAR surveying with helicopters, on Monday.

The other one, is going home to Poland for a couple of weeks, next Thursday.

That leaves me and three idiotic ladies in their fifties who react to everything by panicking, arguing and then handing the work to me. It also leaves a fifty-ish hour gaps in staff coverage each week.

Since those old ladies are also lazier than my cat (and just as selfish), none of them can be relied upon to help out, even if they agree they won't turn up.

    Joy joy joy.

    I'm updating my CV.

Mildly related; I used the NATO phonetic alphabet during a phone conversation with a cop earlier and she didn't understand what I was saying.

    Whiskey Tango Foxtrot indeed :eyebrow:

Well for over a week now I have a tooth abscess. The back molar has a cavity and just started hurting and the next thing I know I have a large lump on my lower jaw. To make things worse my jaw has now locked up so I have about a finger space of opening so the dentist cannot do anything till my jaw loosens. I'm on 500 mg Amoxicillin 3 times a day for the next 7 days. Taking nurofen 256mg pain killers as this thing is just a killer.

Can't eat anything apart from soft foods like soups, porridge, mash potatoes!!!!! :waah::waah:

This is the most annoying and painful thing I have ever faced. The antibiotics are making me weak and I can't control my temper!! :wallbash::wallbash:

Working at apple everyone assumed I was either ex-forces or ex-police because I actually knew the phonetic alphabet... and having to repeat myself as no-one else I dealt with did...

Trying to track down where I might have left/lost my watch last night...

Such a gut wrenching feeling not knowing where it is.

Protip: Although you can only take ibuprofen or paracetamol every 4 hours, they work in different ways, so they can be taken alternately every 2 hours.

    ie: 10am ibuprofen / noon paracetamol / 2pm ibuprofen / 4pm paracetamol

The nurofen im taking are strong so they work at numbing the pain and plus the dentist told me not to mix the nurofen with anything else as its strong enough.

Im frustrated as i cannot eat anything and as a food lover its bloody annoying!!

Going through a dark patch at the moment (lots going on). Feel generally miserable and snappy and to top it off really bad fatigue and a lack of intrest in everything.

I have a nasal ulcer in my left nostril which is tiresome as they can take years to heal. But my right nostril came out in sympathy recently and with the left side afflicted made breathing difficult particularly at night. Anyway finally got an appointment with my ENT guy, mainly by tracking down his work email address and contacting him personally as no matter what governments would have us believe waiting times to see a consultant are crap here in Edinburgh.

Anyway Saw my ENT surgeon yesterday, one of the few consultants that I trust and actually get on with. Anyway he had a look at the right side of my nose and said hmm that's odd. When asked if that was a medical expression he replied pretty much when he has not got a clue what the problem is as it is, it seems, totally different from the left nostrils problem. So back to St John's for another biopsy but whilst doing that he will dilate the throat also. This visit will enable me to renew my acquaintance and continue our conversation with a gorgeous recovery nurse who on my first visit was engaged, the second married so who knows this time around. Every cloud as they say.

Morons designing non-resilient environments for payroll applications and expecting us to implement it without calling them out on it being unsuitable for purpose.

Looks like the latest update from our firewall supplier was wound a little too tight.
They pushed out another update, and fixed it (until next time).
