Other What's ruining your life right now?

I've more or less been head hunted, though I've got to talk to the employer yet, I know it's more money. My concern is it's just a sideways step, when I really want to get out the trade all together.

 

As I'm currently learning, if it's not going to make you happy, don't do it!

Thanks for the support and input everyone.

I'm looking for a new place, though it's hard to find much I can afford at $300 a month. On the plus side, I'm going to be working a turnaround at the refinery all of April and possibly part of May which will bring in quite a bit of money and have me out of the house 14 hours a day. I'm also going to be house-sitting at my mom's or a couple of weeks while they're out of town, which will at least get me out of the house.

Still, it sucks.

 

Yesterday I had two biopsies, one on each nostril and a throat dilation. Left the house at 6am did not get home till 9pm very tired. After reassuring the cat that all was well as she tends to be very dependant on me I went to bed.

Woke up at midnight unable to breathe very well through my nose and due to severe side effects from cancer treatment breathing through my mouth is problematic as I produce very little saliva.

I could not lay down to sleep as it made the situation worse and I can only doze whilst sitting up.

This morning I thought I really need to do something about this so I emailed my consultant and then contacted my GP practice and eventually the duty doctor phoned me back but obviously had not read my medical records and all she could suggest was to phone the consultants secretary though she could not provide that. I got the number with a bit of searching and on contacting her found that my consultant is on annual leave, could I see someone else then. Nope that's is not the way things are done. How are they done? I must go back to my GP and arrange for him to refer me to the emergency ENT clinic in a hospital some three hours away. But surely I would then be seeing an alternative consultant, yes she says but you would have been referred. Why can my GP not refer me to my local ENT clinic which is half an hour away. Because that is not the way it works.

I believe it to be down to swelling so have decided to tough it out as on phoning back the GP practice the earliest emergency appointment was 4pm when I said that I would probably need to be referred to the emergency clinic and I would suspect that at 4pm then taking 3 hours to get to the hospital that I really could not be bothered.

I just love NHS Lothian it built a massive hospital under PPI which will likely cost a billion when the contracts up and they will never actually own it then move a major department out of town.

Sorry for the long rant.

 

Returned motherboard on eBay.

Returned as dead with socket covered in thermal paste.

Cleaned it up and it works perfectly except now I don't have a I/O shield for it as apparently there wasn't one with it when I shipped it

Least the boards not dead I guess!

Overclockers had 10 in early this morning. Which started at £679. but 6 sold, and the price shot up to £719 the robbing gits! - I would of happily paid the over price £679 that you had it up for, but to add another £40, means you will never get my business! So there!!

 

Meanwhile, on Amazon, the price of the U3415W has come down and reviewers have confirmed that it's the "fixed" A01 revision... Internal dilemma ensues...

 

That is nice and I am looking to upgrade as a treat to myself after I have finished redecoration and refurbishment. Though I have a sneak suspicion that she wants other rooms done now so it might be a while before I can indulge myself.

 

It's back in stock on Amazon (40" Philips 4K Monitor) for £603. So I had to hit the order button!

Side effects of lack of sleep is taking it's toll. Only got 1hrs sleep last night -_-

 

I feel that... My dosage has the added benefit of ability to... Ahem... Perform in the bedroom dept as well as sleep. So I can't stay up all night masturbating like when I was twelve.
