Other What's ruining your life right now?

I think I'd be happier just building another computer and calling it girlfriend.

 

I have 4 things that I want to do today, I can only "pick" one.

-Friend's sweet 16
-Ska festival featuring Streetlight Manifesto (one of my favorite bands)
-Friend's Graduation party
-Girlfriend's graduation party

Guess which one I'm going to?

I've just realised how much I suck at life because I'm almost 18 years old and I've never had a girlfriend because I'm too shy and I'm still a f*ckin virgin

 

Dude you're only 17. Chill. And what's wrong with keeping your virginity? Most of my friends have, due to personal choice. If you want a girlfriend, then that's fine. You have your whole life ahead of you man, and there's no shame in not ever having one; you'll find people you'll connect to in your life, don't worry.

 

Many years ahead of you mate, chill out, take things at your own pace and enjoy yourself.

I was 21 when I lost mine - I was shy, fat/ugly/etc but decided to put myself out there. Went to a few parties, started drinking a wee bit, and started meeting girls.

However I did meet my fiancee (my 'first' and the mother of my two kids) via online dating. Go figure!

 

I was twenty when I lost mine, and I'm a cool guy, got a bunch of trumpet and doesn't afraid of anything.

Quantity is not important.. Quality is. Sex is a beside the point. Does she turn your blood to smoke? No? Don't have sex with her. Don't let your age determine when and how you lose your virginity.

But more to the point. Get out there and try-chicks seem to love overweight guys. I see so much of it out there. Chicks love ugly guys-look at Lyle Lovett. Eve if you're both, someone out there is looking for you. Go find them.

I think we're in different universes ...

 

Generally they like the bigger guys as they put more effort into who they actually are not what they look like. Girls like a shallow hunk but they love somebody they can relate to, talk to and relate to.

Just like us guys - would you rather a skinny model with the personality of a cardboard box, or a bigger girl who you can spend hours talking with?

 

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. I was bullied and a loser at an all boys school from the age of thirteen. Since leaving school, everything is so different. Going to university or into a job changes everything. People stop being childish ad petty, and things that seemed the be-all and end-all in high school no longer matter. Point is, I now have an amazing group of friends, and an awesome girlfriend at university. In fact, my only problem at the moment is the sexual tension between my best friend and I. Point is, I could have said the same things as you about 18 months ago. You'd be surprised how quickly things change for the better if you want them to and put in some effort.

 

Effort is my eternal enemy...(O **** GOTTA SIG DIZ :O)

things would be good but

I've just finished uni, got a 1st too, started a new job last week, have zero cash and my job is 50 miles each way, each day. My two kids have just broke up too, and I missed the pay cut off for work and its a 5 week month too. To sum up, I'm broke for like 5 weeks, with £85 quid a week to live and buy diesel. I can't even afford my graduation robe.

 

I've never had a girlfriend that's lasted longer than a month, never had sex with anyone I truly wanted to have it with and I think I've lost more girls to my "friends" than not.

S'okay, still playing the field.

EDIT: I haven't seen my family for just under five months. By the time I get home it will have been 9 months. I hope I can scrape together the cash to at least get my sister to visit during thanksgiving break.
