It is the automatic things we take for granted like getting out of bed and standing up. Yesterday my arthritis in back an hips kicked in big time at around 6am which was odd in that I had been up and about 3 hours earlier.
This morning at around 3:30 when I tried to get out of my bed it took me 20 minutes just to get to my feet with walking resembling those old robots that did not have knees. Life does not stop because of difficulties the cat still needed to go out which meant a difficult traverse of a set of stairs.
She will also expect her usual morning walk to get a newspaper which will be challenging.

Managed a whole 4 hours sleep last night. Some F*&$er rang the doorbell at 4:30am. Nobody there, nothing out of place with the house or cars.

Feeling pretty sorry for myself at the moment. I still have major issues with nasal ulcers so much so that instead of having one in each nasal passage they have meet through the septum and I now have an ever increasing hole where one should not be and the ulcers themselves continue to push on backwards making breathing more difficult.
And Tuesday my arthritis in my back and hips kicked in big time making movement challenging. This morning it took me twenty minutes to get out of my bed with the aid of a walking stick but life goes on. Millie my cat still insisted on coming and staring at me until I struggled to put on my clothes to take her for her morning walk. This was not fun but had to be done.
One thing though prior to cancer I was never ill in fact it was 12 years since I last saw one prior to the diagnosis. Now I have my own chair in the surgery waiting room as since cancer I have lurched from one ailment to the next and even more odd most of what I have had have either been untreatable or unknown.

Edit: Oh Joy this morning I work up to find that my throat had decided to join the party and I have no voice. On the plus side I managed to get a cancellation appointment with my GP later today using this https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/Account/Login which is a great way of booking an appointment and repeat prescriptions.

If the hole in my septum gets any larger I am thinking of going this route to plug it. What say you? [IMG] (That's not politically incorrect is it?)

Abcess under the bottom two molars on the right side of my jaw, Root Canal on Tuesday to drain it and plug the source, Dentist isn't even willing to Crown the tooth, since he's not even sure if Root Canal will work, so that bodes well.

On the plus side; i've been introduced to the wonders of CoCodamol. Everything is good now.

The acrylic that I've ordered didn't arrive in time for my booked time-slot on the laser cutter at the college-of-knowledge. :(

    But...

Just as well because the cardboard template of my backplate design that I cut instead doesn't fit as well as it could. :D

    Measure once, cut twice. :thumb:

Cryptic POST errors, boot but no display, sometimes no beeps at all, errors from my damn monitor, nvidia drivers breaking ubuntu installation, ssd not being recognised in BIOS..........

    samsung hdd's

incompatible with modern technology but ive been assured that a firmware flash will solve it. hardest part is finding another PC to flash them in. as I don't have enough spares to make a working rig

Using a computer with no SSD. i7-6700HQ, 16GB RAM, 4GB Nvidia GTX960M (GDDR5).... and it's slow as **** because it has spinning rust as its primary drive.

Need an NVMe SSD in here.

It could be worse... it could be an old rust spinner [that's nearly full]...

... when you're basically getting half the d/l speed you're paying for because that's as fast as the HDD will go...

Dual core CPU + old [only the PSU in this PC is older] knackered rust spinner = my pc is many things, fast it is not.

Yeah tbf this laptop is no slouch (I did drop ~£750 on it :eeek:). I'm just so used to booting to a usable desktop within 10-15 seconds, even on my old 2008 C2D Macbook.
