I live in the stockport area, the weather has been really screwy for atleast a few days, last two days had been absolutley freezing, the air con at work keeps packing up because the radiator keeps iceing over outside, took this pic this morning at about 10am from me bedroom window:

It's now 3:15pm, just had a look outside and you literally can't see 3 metres in front of you, you can hear cars coming but you can't see them till they're right beside you

    [EDIT]

Just tried taking a photo, but all i'm getting is white cloud

    [/EDIT]

It got to -5 in Southampton on friday night, the southern daily echo has reported Reading, Southampton and Newcastle having the lowest temperatures in the country last week. All I'm getting is frost building up and no melting, but no fog!

It seems this weather will last until the first week of December, when the temperatures will drop further. It could be the coldest winter in years. Odd thing is, the leaves on the trees are still green and haven't fallen off yet!

Doesn't anybody think we've completely skipped autumn and gone from summer to winter?

Same here... it's pretty cool actually (in both senses of the word). I can only just see across my road. Also, I was walking back today and saw a puddle with half an inch of ice on top of it; it's not even December yet!

No fog down here in teh US, but I can totally agree about skipping Fall/Autumn. Seems like it was 85f+ here the other day, all of a sudden it's down to the forties. Crazy weather.

Interestingly enough, we've had really heavy fog over here in the Seattle area too...

But yeah, no fall. The nice warm summer turned into a cold rainy winter in about two weeks flat.

'Tis the same here, can only see clearly for ~10metres. Been pretty cold for the last week, then this fog appeared this morning and hasn't buggered off all day! Makes crossing the road interesting, especially when some people consider sidelights adequate...

It's not bad here, but aparently the motorways are in a bit of a state, manchester airport is shut down and there are no flights into Germany...

    ^^'s about right, I reckon.

I agree the weather has been really weird this year, I live in the middle of the US and we had weather go from 70 to 10 in one day.
Went straight from summer to Winter.
