Apple Whats your iPod and what do you use it for?

    Ok, well first time I can actually say Ive got a right to be here haha. I just bought a refurbished Blue iPod mini off of apple.com for a pretty good price and it should be arriving at my house today. Ive been browsing the net and am quickly finding out there are many different things people can use their iPod for.

    Im curious as to what model of iPod you have (mini, nano, video ect..) and what do you use it for other than music?

    Podcasts seem to be pretty popular but I see some cost money and others are free.. any of them worth the money or what do you listen to for podcasting and why?

    Pictures naturally are more than welcome if you have one becuase I will post mine as soon as I get home from work and have mine in my hands :)

    i should be getting 30gig video sometime around next week (if i only find black one in decent price). and... im gonna use it for what its meant to be used - music, photos, and video. gonna get camera connector and use it as photobank too.

    20gb iPod photo/4g with Colour Screen.

    I use it for music and showing people photo's. Also use it as my alarm clock plugged into some speakers.

    Also use it as an external hard disk for when I need to re-image one of my macs.

    Black 5gen Video 30Gig ipod.
    I use it for music firstly then video which i output onto tv's using a cable i bought off fleabay...then lastly i use it for photos and drivespace.

    iPod nano. Use it for music only. I used to have some photos on it, but lack of space meant that they had to go. I also use it as an alarm connected up to my speakers.

    I have a 5G 30Gb and I use it for music, and podcasts (Ricky Gervais only really).

    Ipod Nano 2gb, should have spent the extra and got the 4gb. DOH! but will live with it for now :)
    mostly use it for listening to music when commuting to work, running.
    recently using it for adio books

    5G 60GB black. 90% music, 7% solitaire, 3% pictures/videos. The occasional podcast figures into the 'music' portion, and there's usually music going when solitairing. I used to use it for storage too, but I finally got a USB key of decent size which is often faster and doesn't require a cable.

    I was skinning it a while back, but I hate working with those really tiny images and can't think of anything else I want to do at the moment. And I can't figure out how the transparencies work So my play/pause and position scroller look all freaky, but I'm probably the only person who gets to fire materia in the brick game.

    20 gig 3rd gen - Music, in the garage (whilst I'm up to my eyeballs in dirt grease and dismembered Beemer)
    30 gig 4th gen Photo - Music, in the car - and photo storage on holiday.
    4 gig Nano - MrsGoo's - Music to shop and jog to. ;)

    Im just rubbing it in that you cant get radio or easily use it as a flash drive.

    :p

    ipods arent the only solution in portible media.

    thats correct. I used to have a creative labs zen touch but it was just to big and bulky so i opted for this. Im surprised that there arent many podcast listeners around here honestly.

    On a side note fedex deemed it wise to not sent me my package by its two day delivery time so I am being refunded the cost of shipping as it was most clearly not 2 day service :D Tonight its mine!

    I quite like podcasts, there are loads of quite bizzare ones if you take the time to look. One of my favourites is 'Ask a Ninja', its a video one but hey. I use my 4g 40gb ipod for podcasts, music, and occasionally playing games in ipodlinux.

    used to have zen micro and zen micro photo, lot of issues, the guy i sold micro photo to has now problems with windows not recognizing it :p
