During a dull day at work, I was randomly googing the interweb, when I came across the Wheelman. Half snowboard, half motorcycle, all accident waiting to happen.

Now....as I am going to Uni in London and all the uni accommodation is (literally) miles away. I would rather no take a bike (as I don’t want it to be stolen) and I REALLY don't want to bring a car, I thought that this might be a possible method of transport. So, I was wandering if anyone here as seen/used one of these? and if you have, would you recommend it.

ATM, I live between the middle of nowhere and some fields, so I have a lot of falling over space to get used to my new toy before I take it to the big city (IF I get it).

    So. Impressions? Opinions? Thoughts?

Erm, i've seen these used and heard they are one of the hardest to learn to use also due to your feet being in the middle of the wheels, imagine trying to jump out/off of it in the case of imminent falling, you'd be better off getting a motorised dirt board, same difference.

Also where would you lock it up too? Surely its just as likely to get nicked as a push bike?

And would you not require insurance to drive this on non-private land as with most g0-peds mini motos etc?

Bth, these were the first sort of motorised "thing" I have seen

I could just put in my room (the rooms are quite large :p)

I wasn't planning to be doing stunts all over the streets of london. However, I was planning to invest heavily in saftey gear etc.

If you get it, can you will it down to me? Hopefully I'll have it by the end of the month that way:lol:

Seriously though, that's probably one of the least safe things that I've seen done with an engine. That's not just an accident waiting to happen, that's a free ticket for an ambulance ride. I'd keep shopping.

*edit* That, and you'd probably look like a t**t riding that thing in motorcycle leathers and a helmet

Why don't you just buy a tube pass? For £650 you'll get one every year until you graduate. :p

    Cool looking thing though, tbh.

Looks good, but very painful if it goes...ahem...tits up.

On a side note - thread title made me lose the game. Damn you! :)

Your all probably right. It's just that I only need to go 5 miles, so the tube is out. And i would don't want to get something to get can be "easily" stolen, so a push bike and a scooter is a out.

Ah, I will just wait and see what it's like before I spend any money
